00:00 It seems like everybody wants to blame somebody with this very disappointing Cowboys first round exit playoff loss.
00:07 And of course quarterback Dak Prescott is going to take so much of that blame right away,
00:11 which he shoulders and goes out, you know, in the press conference after the game and says, "I sucked."
00:17 But when people go, "Okay, now we need to get rid of Dak."
00:22 Let's talk about Dak's contract and what this decision would actually mean.
00:26 Okay, so to the point of the blame, obviously it always starts at the top and Jerry Jones acknowledges that.
00:32 Now that doesn't mean, I know there's Cowboy fans saying, "He's got to be accountable."
00:36 But accountable how? Like what, you want to give him a spanking?
00:39 I mean, what does accountable mean? He's the owner of the Dallas Cowboys.
00:43 You can call for a change in the way this organization is structured.
00:48 If Bill Belichick comes here, maybe that would signify a change of sorts.
00:52 But even when Bill Parcells was here, he still worked for Jerry.
00:57 And even when Jimmy Johnson was here, while they were certainly partners, he still worked for Jerry.
01:02 In fact, it was Jimmy's feeling that he didn't want to do that exactly anymore.
01:07 And he didn't want to share the credit.
01:09 And it was his ego as much as Jerry's ego. And so the divorce happened.
01:15 So the buck does stop up there. The responsibility and the blame goes to Jerry Jones primarily.
01:21 I have a thing that I've talked about called 53 hashtags. I mean 53 brands.
01:26 #53brands. Which is, there's a lot of guys around here that have their t-shirt company and their podcast.
01:34 And some of that can get in the way because I'm so concerned with my own private brand.
01:40 And one of the problems this organization would have in going to these key people who have their own deals
01:46 and tell them, "I want you to just focus on football." They could respond by saying, "Jerry doesn't."
