00:10 >> Yeah, we played poor and that's something that we have been trying to get away from,
00:15 trying to start fast and especially on the road, getting our feet underneath us.
00:19 As soon as the ball snapped, but I mean, they just played their game better than we played ours.
00:27 They took advantage of our mistakes and there's just some fortunate that we had a bad day today.
00:31 >> You guys have been putting so much pressure on him.
00:33 Is there something you can pinpoint as to why he might have been able to do that?
00:36 >> I mean, he got the ball out on time and
00:40 there's a little bit of chips and things like that.
00:44 But mostly, quicks and just giving enough time to get it out.
00:51 I mean, the man was, he wasn't too flustered, getting to his spots,
00:56 being able to slip through and find a gap for him to throw and when he needed to,
01:00 just came out of the pocket and making throws downfield.
01:02 But it was a lot of close plays where we apply pressure, but he made those plays.
01:09 Or he got it out quick enough for us to not be able to make that play.
01:14 >> [INAUDIBLE]
01:18 >> I mean, he showed the same level of play all year.
01:22 And I don't think he was absolutely exceptional.
01:27 I think he played a really good game.
01:29 But he got the ball to his playmakers and he made the plays he needed to make.
01:35 He didn't have to be Superman.
01:37 Everyone on that team was executing at a very high level.
01:41 And he just kept the offense on track and put the ball where he needed to be.
01:45 And we were just a step slow in different positions and
01:50 we had to be a little bit better.
01:53 >> [INAUDIBLE]
02:03 >> Not good enough, we didn't win.
02:05 >> [INAUDIBLE]
02:18 >> I mean, you have to look at all the plays and what everyone was doing.
02:23 It's not always going to be a step game for everyone.
02:26 And a matter of, are you executing your job and your assignment?
02:30 You could execute all game and the ball not coming your way or
02:34 you're not in a position to make a play.
02:36 So it's not just which other guys step up.
02:38 If it was his, he was called to make the plays, they were trying to take advantage
02:43 of him or anything that he was doing, he was out there making plays.
02:47 We also have to make those that come to us.
02:51 >> I was surprised to hear that this defense, you talked about it,
02:55 give up as many big plays as you guys did.
02:58 >> We just didn't execute.
03:02 We're out of position in different levels of the defense and
03:07 we just gotta go back to our fundamentals.
03:12 We didn't go back to what we needed to quickly enough.
03:16 We should have adjusted, got right from an individual level and
03:21 being on the same page communication wise.
03:24 I think that was what was lacking and it's just a shame.
03:30 >> [INAUDIBLE]
03:32 >> I just said, did you keep trying to do stuff differently,
03:34 come up with new things to- >> No, no.
03:38 He said from the beginning he gonna ride with what got us here and
03:41 he's not gonna change up.
03:42 He's not gonna talk to me any magic calls,
03:44 he's not gonna get us out of anything or just do anything.
03:46 And I guess they were just doing things a little bit different,
03:50 but kept us off balance.
03:52 And I think just the tempo which they were doing it,
03:57 whether it was running the ball a little bit differently than we had expected.
04:03 Getting the ball out on time, trying to just delay us enough up front to
04:08 get the ball to their skilled players and make plays.
04:10 And we have to be able to make plays all across the field,
04:15 not just up front or not just in the back, it's all together.
04:18 >> Is it in some ways shocking that you guys played solo in season one,
04:23 you're so confident, is it shocking to perform here after all this time?
04:30 >> It's unfortunate.
04:30 >> Where do you guys go from here?
04:34 >> Back to the drawing board.
04:36 We fought through a whole ton of adversity this year.
04:42 And this is just another step of it.
04:45 There's something you gotta use as motivation for next year.
04:48 This is the most painful loss I've had in my career.
04:51 Absolutely, and this is something I'll use every day until we get back to
04:55 this point next year where we're going to the playoffs and
04:59 we're making another run again.
05:01 And I'm gonna continue to motivate the guys and
05:03 inspire the guys to use this to work a little bit harder.
05:10 I'll train a little bit more, think about what you need to do to get back to this
05:13 point and never have this feeling again.
05:14 >> Why is this emotional?
05:18 >> Cuz we've been through so much to get here.
05:21 And we had a bad day on the worst time of a bad day.
05:27 And we didn't just come this far, like I said, to come this far.
05:31 And we let ourselves down by not executing like we know we should have.
05:35 Now, that was offense, defense, special teams.
05:37 We just came up a little bit short in each phase of the game.
05:42 And we know that wasn't ourselves.
05:43 That's what makes it most painful.
05:44 And they made the plays on every mistake that we made,
05:50 or at least most of them.
05:51 >> [INAUDIBLE]
06:00 >> I just answered that question.
06:02 But we continue to fight to adversity all year.
06:06 Guys out, tackles out, Chubb out, Watson out.
06:11 I mean, guys all over the field and we continue to make plays,
06:15 continue to be stout on defense, continue to find playmakers on offense.
06:21 Whether it was guys who were tried and true or
06:23 guys stepping up and making themselves known.
06:26 That's why it hurts.
06:28 With Kansas City, we put everything on the line and
06:31 we came up a little bit short.
06:32 And that, it sucks, but we were finally firing all cylinders and
06:37 a couple calls either.
06:39 We came short, it didn't go our way.
06:40 Well, this one, we got beat.
06:43 We got outcoached, we were under manned and outgunned.
06:49 And at this point, if you look at it from the outside, you're like,
06:53 well, they just got beat.
06:55 But you look at it from the inside, you're being on the field.
06:57 And you know that the game is not that, it wasn't that far.
07:03 It wasn't that far away from us.
07:03 It was all about the execution which we had.
07:06 And speaking of the player, I know we could execute it a lot better.
07:09 And three or four plays back and it's a seven point game or a ten point game.
07:16 And that's why it's as disappointing as it is right now.
07:19 >> Just two more.
07:20 >> [INAUDIBLE]
07:25 >> [INAUDIBLE]
07:35 >> Feel bad for everyone who stepped up
07:42 and came up short.
07:44 It's not just one man.
07:45 Everyone came in with high expectations and high hopes.
07:51 And trying to continue to prove people wrong.
07:56 And we fell short of what we hoped for and what our goals were.
08:00 So feel bad for every person who went out there and gave their all.
08:06 But I know that I'm also gonna continue to tell them to keep their heads high and
08:10 keep on working cuz we have a lot more work to do.
08:12 >> [INAUDIBLE]
08:20 >> More elusive.
08:25 I mean, he was also, just like I said, very composed, getting the ball out on time.
08:31 Just sliding into different parts of the pocket, moving away from pressure.
08:36 And there's just extending plays a little bit longer.
08:39 And he did a good job being where he needed to be and
08:43 making the plays that he needed to.
08:44 >> [INAUDIBLE]
