Germany calls for more support for Ukraine as missiles running out

00:10 to Ukraine. It was organized by the Euromaidan Warsaw Initiative.

00:22 civilians. Europe is still sleeping. We are here today to wake up Europe.

00:29 Meanwhile in Berlin, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called on European Union states to

00:39 step up support for Ukraine.

00:41 Our German contribution is so important. It alone will not be enough to guarantee the security

00:48 and defence of Ukraine. I therefore call on the allies in the European Union to strengthen

00:55 their efforts for Ukraine. The number of weapons planned by the EU member states for Ukraine

01:02 is too small.

01:06 And in Ukraine, soldiers in the Kharkiv region have urged the world not to forget their war

01:11 against Russia.

01:12 If we do not protect our country, no one will protect it. No one will come here to fight.

01:19 If we want to live in our independent, democratic country, it is our duty.

01:26 He says they are continuing to fight despite the harsh winter conditions.
