00:31 Greetings grapple fans and welcome to Kent Pro Wrestling.
00:36 My name is Dale Jones and I'm going to be bringing you the action of United Kingdom
00:40 Pro Wrestling which took place in the great city of Canterbury.
00:44 But today we have three action-packed matches and our main event when the UKPW Championship
00:51 is on the line, when the wolf of Brawl Street, Alexander Roth, defends his championship against
00:58 British Wrestling Royalty in James Mason.
01:02 We then have some fast, fast action when the pace setter Andros J takes on the intergalactic
01:09 stylings of Truman Roswell.
01:12 But first grapple fans, we have tag team action when the team of the two-man day trip, Prince
01:19 Dean and Cody Salahue take on meme team, Memes and Adonis Payne.
01:25 There's plenty to look out in this one grapple fans.
01:28 Let's take you to ringside.
01:31 [Bell rings]
01:34 Cody and Adonis Payne start us off.
01:38 What a dropkick from Cody.
01:41 What a way to start the match.
01:44 I'm still in awe.
01:46 I'm in shock.
01:49 Prince Dean is breaking the lead.
01:51 What a move, springboard left on the back of the head, using the ropes to his advantage.
01:55 Cody, he is a very impressive young athlete is Cody.
01:59 I take it.
02:02 Oh, rolls over lovely.
02:05 Across the back, going for a cover and a ticker.
02:09 Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that is attached to Prince Dean's chest, a name tag.
02:14 Obviously didn't think about any hair that he has on there.
02:17 That's going to be an interesting situation for him to be in later when that's going to come off.
02:22 It takes a lot to make me, to leave me speechless.
02:25 And I'm still in awe of Prince Dean.
02:29 I'm just, yes.
02:31 Well, Cody is trying to take himself off the ground.
02:37 Prince Dean is very often the second best dressed person here, apart from myself.
02:41 He's still got a camera in his hand.
02:45 Oh, no, Prince Dean, oh, and it takes him down.
02:53 What's that means, his phone, Prince Dean had there?
02:56 I think so.
02:57 Might attack via mate.
03:06 I mean, they may be eccentric, they may be peculiar.
03:11 They may be all those other words that go with that, but entertaining 100%.
03:19 And it looks like he's borrowed by knee pads, because they are quite stunning.
03:25 As we saw with Artemis earlier, meme team don't need any help getting a win.
03:34 If you're a distraction, they will use your distraction.
03:37 Oh, he's got his pain up as he, no, he's trying to keep him up.
03:43 And here we go, let's have a look.
03:45 Coach just said drop him, he drops him as it is.
03:48 No, he wasn't quite right, but it was effective.
03:52 Here we go, now this is what I talk about, the exchange, this relationship that Coach and Prince Dean have.
03:57 They're a little bit unorthodox.
04:00 And this is what, Cody's saying, I like that.
04:03 When I said put him, when I said drop him, that's what I mean, slam him down, not actually drop him.
04:11 And now Prince Dean wants in, and this is why I love these guys.
04:17 Honestly, I love these guys.
04:20 Look at his smile on Prince Dean's face, to memes there.
04:24 There we go, no, he just drops him again.
04:29 He's not quite right, but it's effective, and that's what matters.
04:34 He's going for it again.
04:37 On his face.
04:39 Oh, it's a meme, he's got him.
04:43 Oh, he's down the referee.
04:46 He's down as well.
04:47 He's taken Cody down and then slammed him down.
04:50 He got it right, he got it right, third time lucky.
04:53 Yes, third time lucky.
04:55 Well done Prince Dean.
04:56 Oh wow.
04:59 Crowd loving it, see, there you go.
05:03 Cody with a blind tag, this is exactly what I mean.
05:07 And the guy's face can't even stand up.
05:11 The last time out, Cody did hold his own against Alexander Orton,
05:14 proof to us he is quite technical in the ring.
05:17 So the fact that Cody's actually teaching Prince Dean a few things isn't new to me.
05:23 Oh, there we go.
05:26 That's a big chest to aim for, I couldn't imagine.
05:30 They have to forgive memes, he's a bit jet lagged.
05:32 Straight here to compete.
05:34 Oh, and Charles said he coded out of the canvas.
05:38 As I said, memes may be a little bit jet lagged.
05:41 He's coming here straight from a flight from Orlando, Florida to be here.
05:45 So, at the booze, I never thought I'd ever hear this sort of reaction ever for a guy like memes.
05:52 [Crowd chanting]
05:58 Well, there's three people in the audience that are showing Hometown Hero for memes.
06:05 They might live down the same road as him, who knows.
06:09 They might have played football as children in the old days.
06:14 And there's the cheap shot.
06:20 See, you can have all the fun and games that you like, but then as quick as that, a tag team match can turn.
06:25 Absolutely.
06:31 Oh, what a spinebuster, double A style.
06:34 Back of his head bouncing off the canvas there, seeing that.
06:38 That's enough to put your lights out fast.
06:42 You see, even the referee still worked up the after effects of...
06:46 Oh, my goodness. That could break your arm.
06:52 And Artemis is running it at ringside.
06:56 There's a couple of referees. There we go.
07:00 [Crowd cheering]
07:06 Artemis at ringside enjoying what her fellow meme team members are doing, punishing Cody right now.
07:13 Meme to the second turnbuckle.
07:18 Double axe handle. Oh, across the arm.
07:21 Christine looks annoyed at Cody for putting himself in danger again.
07:28 That's the tolerance level on Cody.
07:32 He wants to tag in.
07:42 So, no, I mean, memes can't be that bad. It keeps giving them a high five, you know.
07:48 There might still be some good in there somewhere. Maybe.
07:53 Cody desperately fighting back.
07:55 Do it again, do it again. You're going to regret it.
07:58 Oh, it only staggers Meme slightly.
08:01 He could do a little bit better.
08:03 Oh, it still staggers him, but it doesn't get the big man off his feet.
08:08 Oh, he's going to try and get him up. Oh, no. Backfires.
08:13 Cody looks like a special bit of a man, but he's only little.
08:16 And Memes is a big boy.
08:18 There's plenty of happy meals over there.
08:21 Well, you have to say that maybe Cody should have used one of those athletic dropkicks.
08:25 That might have been better off.
08:28 Oh, nice backbreaker.
08:31 Holding Cody in position. Oh, drops it.
08:33 And there we go. Tag team experience there. Tandem offense.
08:38 Oh, my goodness.
08:39 Backbreaker followed by an elbow drop.
08:41 Almost demolition style there.
08:44 As Andros J shouts, "Prince Dean!"
08:48 Stomping away on Cody.
08:51 Cody really needs to make a tag.
08:56 Get to your feet and find your speed, Cody.
09:02 I think Cody's still seen stars from that spinebuster earlier.
09:05 I mean, that's...
09:08 And there we go.
09:09 Choking Cody out in the corner.
09:12 Using the tag rope as well.
09:16 And Andros J.
09:18 Prince Dean doing his tag team part.
09:20 There's no favors there distracting the referee.
09:24 You don't like to see it, but that is tag team wrestling.
09:30 Oh, nice headbutt there from Cody.
09:34 Oh, and one back.
09:35 Adonis Payne with his own.
09:38 Oh, and they both headbutted each other.
09:41 Headbutted each other.
09:42 And look at Prince Dean here.
09:44 It was said by a very wise man, nobody wins without a headbutt.
09:48 And there's Shor of Samoan.
09:50 Artemis is trying to explain to Adonis Payne what the hell went on there.
09:55 Adonis Payne doesn't have a clue where he's at.
09:56 Oh, wait a minute. What's Meme's doing?
09:59 Oh, my goodness.
10:03 Oh, wait a minute. What?
10:06 That's not how legal.
10:09 He was tagged in.
10:13 Not by his own partner.
10:19 Oh, and Cody just...
10:21 There we go. There's the legal tag. Now Meme's legal.
10:24 Cody is in trouble with Prince Dean down on the outside.
10:27 This could only be a matter of time now before the Meme team pick up a victory.
10:31 It would appear so.
10:41 Going for a ride.
10:44 And that was a long way down.
10:46 Lovely suplex there by Meme's.
10:49 Look out. Down by Cody.
10:51 There's Prince Dean on the outside just getting to his feet,
10:55 trying to get back into position to be available for a tag if Cody can somehow make it.
11:00 But that would have just taken a bit out of Prince Dean there.
11:03 Yeah, Prince Dean doesn't look good at all.
11:05 Charging up, running...
11:06 Oh!
11:09 Freight train straight into Cody in the corner.
11:14 Adonis Payne, although he looks rather exhausted himself,
11:18 wants back in the ring.
11:22 Oh, here we go again.
11:23 Don't do it again, no.
11:24 He's going to do it again.
11:26 Try and break the arm, he can't hit you with it.
11:28 Oh, my goodness!
11:39 Wait a minute.
11:40 I think he might have...
11:41 He could have broken something there.
11:46 Do we know what Prince Dean is the Prince of?
11:49 Or the Prince of where?
11:50 You know...
11:53 Oh, it's a question that needs to be asked.
11:55 I'm asking the UKWU Universe.
12:01 I'm asking the UKWU Universe.
12:03 Who is Prince Dean the Prince of?
12:09 Oh, here we go, Prince Dean!
12:10 And there we go.
12:11 He's blessed by the rest of world, so that's all I know.
12:15 Oh, look at that.
12:19 Oh, that's the body security beautifully done there by Prince Dean.
12:22 Calabro is on the front of the monster!
12:27 To the mean team!
12:35 And look how fired up he is.
12:36 The Calabre audience now making some noise.
12:39 Channeling the wrestling gods through the audience.
12:45 Prince Dean's powered up with nowhere to go.
12:47 There's some staggering on the outside here.
12:49 Mean team catching some breath.
12:51 Cody on his way round.
12:52 That's not clever.
12:55 Oh, no.
12:56 Have you ever seen a prince fly?
13:00 Oh, my goodness!
13:03 A prince in Calabre!
13:05 In Calabre!
13:07 So, in their appreciation, yes, Dean!
13:12 Where do I buy my return ticket?
13:14 Because that adds some air to it.
13:20 I've seen an elephant fly, but I ain't seen a prince fly until then.
13:26 Sure, sure.
13:29 I've seen a house fly.
13:30 Here we go.
13:31 Here we go.
13:32 Oh!
13:33 Another super kick, either side of the head.
13:35 That should do it.
13:36 Artemis checking on Adonis Payne on the outside.
13:39 Meme's is going to be seeing pink elephants after that one.
13:44 Another big scoop slam.
13:46 Cover.
13:48 Oh, and just in time.
13:51 See, if Artemis hadn't of poked her nose in, then this would be over.
13:56 Yeah, Meme team was saved by Artemis throwing Adonis Payne in.
14:00 Adonis was dumb on the outside.
14:11 Oh, my goodness, using the ropes there.
14:15 Cody all dazed.
14:18 And Meme's can barely stand.
14:22 Meme's had to think again about what approach to take here.
14:26 Off the ropes.
14:27 Oh, he can't.
14:29 He can't stand.
14:32 Cody knows it.
14:34 And Adonis Payne is chipped.
14:37 Well, they don't want some medics.
14:39 Do you have a medic here?
14:41 Oh, you've got the best medic.
14:50 I don't know what's going on here.
14:52 I don't know if this is his ankle or what, but Artemis is in great danger.
15:01 Oh, wait a minute, oh, no, back fight.
15:04 She's got low blow.
15:08 A kick down on her face.
15:10 She's got to have it somewhere.
15:12 Payne's injury is disgusting.
15:15 Payne possum.
15:19 Oh, he's taking it.
15:22 Oh, from behind.
15:25 Lights out.
15:28 And it's over.
15:32 Nasty way to end it.
15:34 What an injustice.
15:39 UKBW management, if you're watching this, that is not how a match goes down.
15:45 Faking a leg injury is something that I'm...
15:49 Grapple fans, I told you this tag team match was going to be a little bit mad.
15:55 I suppose it's congratulations to Meme Team.
15:58 They did definitely manipulate the rules there.
16:00 Just to recap, when an injury does happen in breastfish wrestling, we do tend to check on the athlete.
16:06 And what a way for Memes to absolutely bend those rules.
16:10 Adonis gets in the ring.
16:12 I'm afraid, low blow, referee didn't see it.
16:15 Then Memes comes in with that RKO and picks up the victory.
16:18 A huge win for that trio.
16:21 Unfortunately, Prince Dean not having a chance to get his revenge.
16:25 But Grapple fans, I'm sure as you stay tuned, we'll see what Prince Dean's got up his sleeve.
16:31 Or bubbles. Anyway, moving on.
16:33 But Grapple fans, right now, it gives me great pleasure to take you on to the UKBW Event Centre.
16:39 [MUSIC]
16:43 60 seconds on the clock, please.
16:46 In the main event, we have UKBW's past meeting head on with UKBW's present.
16:51 When UK British wrestling legend and first ever UKBW champion, Mr. James Mason,
16:58 makes his return to a UKBW ring after almost five years away.
17:02 Mason, known for being the absolute master of what some refer to as world of sports style.
17:08 Mason is fast thinking, nimble, and if he can grab a body part, could easily clinch a win.
17:13 While Alexander Roth, the only two time UKBW champion, with a nearly combined title reign of 700 days.
17:21 Alexander Roth, the most dominant champion with speed and striking being Roth's main strength.
17:27 But ring craftsmanship is certainly something of note.
17:31 Can Mason outmanoeuvre, outshine and outclass the current champion?
17:35 Or will the current UKBW champion finally put to rest the argument, who is the best UKBW champion in history?
17:42 [MUSIC]
17:44 Grapple fans, our next contest are for those that love their high flying, high risk wrestling.
17:49 When the pace setter, Andros J, takes his high flying abilities against the intergalactic stylings of Truman Roswell.
17:58 Now I'd like to give you a little bit of analytics, I'd like to give you my opinion here.
18:01 The thing to watch out for in this match is the pace setter Andros J's incredible sent on bomb.
18:07 Let's deep dive into this manoeuvre.
18:09 [MUSIC]
18:13 Firstly, Andros J is on the top rope, he's already got all the full height and momentum.
18:19 He jumps up so incredibly high, he is then able to flip and rotate while mid air.
18:24 And with all of his might, able to pinpoint directly onto his opponent.
18:29 Luckily, Truman Roswell doesn't believe in gravity.
18:32 So the second part of this manoeuvre is completely pointless.
18:35 So grapple fans, let's see who wins.
18:37 Is it Andros J or is it the intergalactic stylings of Truman Roswell?
18:41 [MUSIC]
18:48 [BELL RINGS]
18:49 Hammer time.
18:50 [MUSIC]
18:58 This should be a very interesting match.
19:00 Roswell's a bit more powerful with his technical side.
19:03 Andros is fast and high flying.
19:06 But let's not forget though, Truman Roswell is also quite flying.
19:11 I mean, we saw him in 10% of the scares last year.
19:16 And that with that run up, spring back moonsault from inside the ring to the outside of the ring.
19:22 Which is one of the greatest moments I've seen.
19:25 [MUSIC]
19:30 [APPLAUSE]
19:37 Come on now, boys.
19:38 Tie up this.
19:39 Well, it looked like Andros Jones was going to be backed into the corner, but he reverses it.
19:43 And there we go.
19:44 Roswell.
19:47 There we go.
19:48 There's the apparatus from Roswell.
19:49 And he backs up again.
19:50 Now look at this from Truman Roswell.
19:53 Andros underneath.
19:55 Oh.
19:56 He's going to roll him over.
19:57 Oh, he does in the end.
19:58 Oh, just didn't quite get all of it, but got enough.
20:02 Oh, look at that.
20:03 Oh, he spiked him.
20:04 Oh, he spikes him.
20:06 Right down on the rooster.
20:07 Wow.
20:09 And there you go, Roswell showing his athleticism here.
20:13 Not just a powerhouse with his technical moves.
20:17 Oh, look at that.
20:18 And Andros ending his own run.
20:19 [APPLAUSE]
20:22 Oh, splash into the bulldog.
20:24 Yes.
20:25 Plunged in the face of Roswell to the mat.
20:27 [APPLAUSE]
20:30 Oh.
20:31 Oh.
20:32 Oh.
20:33 Oh, what a move.
20:35 Shows in this business, you can't think about what you're doing.
20:38 You've just got to get on with it.
20:39 And again--
20:40 And there we go.
20:41 --the mainstream.
20:42 Roswell catching his breath.
20:43 This is a very fast match, actually, to--
20:45 That's not where Roswell wants to be amongst people.
20:49 [APPLAUSE]
20:51 Arguing with everybody in Canterbury.
20:54 Are they people?
20:55 Are they serpents?
20:56 [APPLAUSE]
20:59 Don't add to it, Wendy.
21:01 Some of the things he believes are believable.
21:07 Not all of them, obviously.
21:10 Oh, wait a minute.
21:11 Andros J. Oh, he went for a suicide dive by the next to him.
21:14 Roswell caught him with a forearm, putting the brakes on that one.
21:18 Knockout blow.
21:20 [INAUDIBLE]
21:22 J went down like a sack of potatoes, then.
21:25 That was square on the chin.
21:29 Oh, nice big back suplex.
21:31 He had a bird, and his name was Ronnie.
21:35 [LAUGHTER]
21:36 OK.
21:37 [APPLAUSE]
21:38 What?
21:39 [APPLAUSE]
21:44 Roswell, take them up.
21:46 A nice suplex gets it.
21:48 That's the power Roswell's got.
21:50 Indeed it is.
21:51 As if flexing the muscles there today.
21:54 I'm disappointed you don't know that reference, Cross.
21:57 I'm disappointed.
21:58 Forget it.
22:01 I got it.
22:03 Yeah, because he got knocked out, you know?
22:05 I know.
22:06 Yeah.
22:08 But it's Saturday.
22:09 Friday was yesterday.
22:10 [APPLAUSE]
22:16 Roswell trying to keep it up.
22:19 And Ross J battling out.
22:22 Oh, back to the ropes.
22:24 Here we go again.
22:26 Oh, ducks underneath there.
22:27 Oh, what a love spinning back elbow.
22:29 Square on the chin.
22:30 Right on the jaw there.
22:34 Oh, wait.
22:35 Oh, oh, here we go.
22:36 We're seeing a bit of frustration and aggression
22:38 here from Truman Roswell.
22:40 Oh, and what a headbutt.
22:41 Yeah, Roswell wanted to cause pain rather than get the win there.
22:44 He might have caused himself a little bit of pain with that headbutt.
22:47 [APPLAUSE]
22:57 Roswell firmly in charge.
22:59 [INAUDIBLE]
23:03 Oh, now Truman Roswell arguing with the referee.
23:05 See?
23:06 You can't tell me what to do.
23:07 Yes, he can, because he's a referee.
23:09 It's a mistake.
23:10 When you're on top, stay on top.
23:11 Absolutely.
23:12 See?
23:13 There you go.
23:14 Just that little bit of breathing room, all it takes.
23:16 Oh, he comes back with a close-up in that corner.
23:21 Oh, but Andrews J getting his boot up again and again.
23:25 Off to second row.
23:26 Going for him across by the knee.
23:28 But he catches him.
23:30 Oh, what a back breaking there.
23:32 Straight into a cover.
23:33 That was smart from Truman Roswell.
23:36 I thought Andrews had been broken in half then.
23:39 It could well have been.
23:41 And there we go.
23:42 The crowd starting to get behind Andrews J right now.
23:45 He's got to find something from somewhere.
23:47 Otherwise, this is already that fat lady singing.
23:50 What goes up must come down.
24:07 That is gravity.
24:08 The gravity factor indeed.
24:10 And well, at the moment, what's gone up is not coming down.
24:13 J's got hold of the top rope.
24:14 Smart.
24:15 Andrews J refusing.
24:20 Oh, Roswell down there.
24:21 And this is exactly what Andrews J wants.
24:24 That's a bad landing.
24:26 Oh, he got good cross body that time.
24:28 Straight out of area 53.
24:30 He needs to cover him.
24:32 But Andrews J seems to have hurt himself as well.
24:35 And I think that moment may have just passed.
24:40 It seems right now neither of these have any advantage.
24:44 J's had plenty taken out of him right now.
24:46 He had to create some sort of space just to give him a breather.
24:50 We're back to an even playing field.
24:52 There's anybody's game.
24:53 Oh, nice close one.
24:58 Nice close one.
24:59 And there we go.
25:00 From Andrews J.
25:01 Andrews J has rolled a double six and he is away.
25:04 Nice spin you mat breaker.
25:05 Oh, lovely.
25:06 He's passing go.
25:07 Can he collect his $200?
25:08 Roswell escaping.
25:10 Being smart.
25:11 Right there, being smart.
25:12 Oh, wait a minute.
25:13 Andrews J, he fell earlier.
25:15 This suicide dive goes against it.
25:18 Andrews likes to fly.
25:20 And the rooster is crying.
25:24 I'm only saying that because of his hair.
25:26 Rocking the Terence Taylor look.
25:30 Got to stay on top.
25:36 It's no good coming out here beating somebody up and then begging for forgiveness, mate.
25:42 Oh, he's caught him.
25:45 Oh, across the knee.
25:47 Back breaker gets him out.
25:50 Oh.
25:51 Got one ace in the back there.
25:53 And Roswell here.
25:56 Oh, wait a minute.
26:03 Oh, held on to the toe.
26:05 Roswell missed.
26:06 Is this Andrews J's opening?
26:11 May very well be.
26:14 Oh, and he captures it.
26:19 Keeps hold.
26:20 Goes for a cutter.
26:23 That was a very nice combination there from Andrews.
26:27 I think we're going to see him fly.
26:29 Are we going to see that Swanton?
26:31 This is where Truman Roswell is going to learn about gravity.
26:35 And it does indeed exist.
26:37 Andrews J is up.
26:40 Swanton maybe.
26:41 Wobbly legs but he's there.
26:43 Swanton.
26:44 Oh, he's got the knees up.
26:47 That Swanton was scouted.
26:51 Oh, my goodness.
26:53 And that's a success.
26:56 Truman Roswell.
26:57 Good afternoon, good evening, and good night.
27:01 Roswell with a fantastic finish.
27:06 What a hell of a springboard stunner that is.
27:12 I mean, that goes to show.
27:15 Fritzrow is a spin-sod job.
27:16 That goes to show.
27:17 What a match that was, Grapple fans.
27:20 And despite what he says, despite the conspiracy against Truman Roswell,
27:25 Truman Roswell picks up the victory against Maidstone's very own,
27:30 the Pacesetter, Andrews J.
27:32 Now, the only real question coming out of this match isn't,
27:35 is the earth flat?
27:37 In fact, it's more, when will Truman Roswell reach the championship stratosphere?

30:12 Grapple fans, are you ready for our main event taking place in Canterbury?
30:19 I am so excited. I have wrestled both of these people in the past.
30:23 James Mason, a UK wrestling legend.
30:27 He is a former UK PW champion, and he returns today on Kemp Pro Wrestling
30:34 to take back what he believes is rightfully his,
30:37 as he challenges the current longest reigning two-time UK PW champion,
30:44 the Wolf of Brawl Street, Alexander Roth.
30:48 This clash of styles takes place in Canterbury right now.
30:52 Let's take you to ringside.
30:54 We're off that day, but are we going to see the same?
30:57 And there's a show of respect between champion and former champion.
31:02 Introducing first, and your winner of the challenger,
31:08 weighing in at 168 pounds, from this nation's great capital of London,
31:15 he is one of the most prolific and leading punches in the world of Wrestling,
31:19 this is Mr. James Mason!
31:23 We're going to believe and look at the respect from our champion,
31:26 allowing Mason to spotlight the ring by himself,
31:30 allowing him to take his plaudits, and rightly so.
31:34 But now it's Alexander Roth.
31:37 Standing on my right, from Brawl Street, London,
31:41 oh, I do, I nearly know my rights.
31:44 From Brawl Street, London, weighing in at 143 pounds,
31:50 he's tucked, ringing, and defending UK PW champion,
31:57 the Wolf of Brawl Street, Alexander Roth!
32:04 Wow.
32:08 This is going to be one hell of a spectacle.
32:10 UK PW are going to end 2022 in fashion.
32:15 What a moment for Dave O'Connor to introduce these two wonderful champions.
32:25 Alexander Roth, two-time champion.
32:28 Well, we were saying the same about Mason at the end of today.
32:32 Here we go!
32:33 I feel like this match is going to give me a lesson in UK PW history.
32:40 Oh, absolutely. Here we go, locking up now.
32:44 There is obviously a slight difference, but that will not really come into play.
32:51 We've seen Roth take down some of the biggest men possible.
32:54 This is going to be a contrast of styles.
32:56 You are going to see modern wrestling versus classic wrestling.
32:59 Classic wrestling, yeah, absolutely. Here we go.
33:01 This is it. Can Roth go hold for hold with British legend Mason?
33:06 This is the question.
33:07 You have to say that Roth's strengths are with his striking ability and his athleticism.
33:13 Mason's still athletic even at his age, but technically sound.
33:18 This is what you said, the two contrasting styles.
33:22 I can't wait to see which style prevails.
33:25 Mason, Mason, Mason will be picking a body part and he will work that body part until it falls off.
33:33 An expert in body and joint manipulation, but he's at the moment, Roth's got him.
33:40 And here we go.
33:42 There we go, we talk about he might be, he might be superior in age, but athleticism.
33:50 Mason can still go with the best.
33:52 Being two time and longest reigning champion, Alexander Roth has proven that he can defend that championship title time and again.
34:05 You've got longest reigning versus the first.
34:09 This is the classic feeling out process.
34:15 And there we go again.
34:19 Manipulation of a body part.
34:22 Do you see how quick Mason is in locking on these holds?
34:26 How quick he is to move from limb to limb.
34:29 And look at that, call Roth in legit pain right now.
34:34 Bending those, that wrist and then fingers back so they can't bend no more.
34:40 And if he puts, if he had gone even more, so he would have got snapped.
34:44 Yeah, that was like joint manipulation there, James Mason.
34:48 Roth trying to keep a distance now, see.
34:51 That's one stop there by the champion, Mason.
34:55 Trying to use as much strength as he can.
34:58 Oh, he does take Roth down.
35:01 Oh, look at this.
35:06 Oh, what's going to happen over there is Mason.
35:11 Oh, and Roth.
35:14 James Mason is one of the most gifted technical wrestlers in British wrestling.
35:20 Look at the great shape Mason is still in.
35:22 It's, it's, it's, oh, what a legend.
35:25 But this is smart as well for Mason.
35:27 He's working away on the lower part of Roth.
35:30 Because he knows so well that if Roth can't stand, that takes away the majority of Roth's offense.
35:35 James Mason has had a very successful, well, near 25 year career.
35:40 Trying not to give away his age because he won't like it.
35:43 But 25 years on the British circuit, he has wrestled in Japan, across Europe, in America, on a very popular television show.
35:51 And it's just, there's not anything...
35:57 And it's just, there's not anything that James Mason doesn't know about his business.
36:07 You see the wily veteran just...
36:10 Oh, there we go.
36:15 Mason there.
36:26 You see Mason, that didn't do it.
36:29 Mason stepped back then, gave Roth a chance.
36:32 It's not something you generally see from James.
36:34 No, this is also not what you generally see from Roth either.
36:37 It's very true.
36:38 He's hard impact striking and maneuvering.
36:41 And look at that monkey foot there, sending Roth down.
36:44 Classic there, absolute classic.
36:46 Roth needing to take a breather.
36:47 Mason on top here early on.
36:49 I think maybe when it comes to submission holds, I think if Roth could lock on that underhand request,
36:54 that he does sometimes use here and there.
36:57 And that might be one of his best chance if he's going to go for a submission victory.
37:00 And there we go, Roth changing the game now, starting to work on the strikes.
37:04 This is where Roth's at his best.
37:06 When he's on his feet and he's striking, he's feeling the effects of that.
37:09 Oh, and a nice roll up there.
37:11 And he's quick as that.
37:12 Oh, and that would be a two count.
37:13 Showing that experience there James.
37:15 And wait, what's Roth doing?
37:16 He's got...
37:17 Oh, Roth managing to lock the arm on the kick out.
37:20 Oh wow.
37:21 That's a very interesting looking hold.
37:26 We are seeing a side now of Roth we've not seen.
37:30 And you've got to give it to him here.
37:33 Telling Mason to keep the shoulders down, but Mason refusing.
37:51 He's got a bridge at the moment, just never taking his shoulders off that mat.
37:55 And Roth on top.
37:56 And look at the strength of Mason there.
37:58 How is Mason's neck strong enough to hold the weight of Roth?
38:02 He's got his own body.
38:03 And that is proof that age has nothing to do with it.
38:06 Oh, he's got it all in him now for a split second there.
38:09 That's pure strength and training there from Mason.
38:14 We're going for another one.
38:22 Oh, classic James Mason right there.
38:26 Too close to the ropes, too close to the ropes.
38:29 Oh.
38:30 Classic Mason right there.
38:36 He is still a wiry, wily old veteran.
38:40 Oh, what a shot there from...
38:43 Oh, Mason said, "Okay, if you want to do it that way, we'll do it that way."
38:46 Do you want to strike here? Strike with the best of them.
38:49 One, two, three.
38:56 Right, don't forget Roth has wrestled veterans before.
38:59 He's competed in this country against the likes of Doug Williams.
39:04 He's got victories over Doug Williams.
39:06 So he's not any stranger to big names, to those predecessors.
39:12 Those who paved the way before him.
39:14 And he wrestles them with a lot of respect.
39:17 And as I said, Mason spent a lot of time in Japan wrestling,
39:21 and I bet that's where he learned this.
39:23 Quite possible, absolutely.
39:25 Japanese stranglehold.
39:29 Oh, my goodness.
39:30 There we go. Complete manipulation.
39:32 Knees and Roth's back as well.
39:35 I don't think Roth would have found himself in that position.
39:37 Look at this.
39:38 And there we go.
39:39 Oh, reverses it.
39:40 Alexander Roth holding his own.
39:42 He's got a decent move.
39:47 Alexander Roth having to try and find stuff in his bag
39:50 that's been buried at the bottom for a long time.
39:52 And there we are.
40:04 Roth just hasn't let go yet.
40:06 The crowd aren't sure what to make of this.
40:09 They're not sure who to cheer.
40:10 They're not sure who to clap.
40:12 Alexander Roth changing the game again.
40:22 He's just trying to keep those shoulders down.
40:33 When in doubt, sit on him.
40:38 I'm not sure who the slow game serves better,
40:45 whether it's Mason or Roth, but...
40:47 This match is a masterclass in just actual wrestling.
40:56 Move for move, these two have got each other scouted.
41:07 Classic high knee there.
41:09 Yeah, James Mason's finished playing it, it seems.
41:16 Mason wants the UKPW title back.
41:20 He was the first.
41:21 He wants it back.
41:22 Mason needs to...
41:23 Well, not that he needs to be told this.
41:25 Oh, lovely!
41:27 Beautiful there from Mason.
41:29 Come on, new champion maybe?
41:30 No, he's getting a one there.
41:35 He won't like me saying it, but vintage Mason right in the hair.
41:38 Mason might not appreciate me saying it,
41:40 but not like he needs to be told.
41:43 But he needs to just focus on Roth.
41:45 I know he's a crowd pleaser.
41:46 He likes to communicate with the crowd,
41:48 but he can't afford to give Roth an inch.
41:51 Watching this, Mason is like a fine wine.
41:55 He's just getting better with age.
41:56 Oh, absolutely.
41:57 He definitely has not missed a beat.
41:59 And he's looking fantastic.
42:01 Some of the best shape I've seen him in in years.
42:05 Yeah, I said earlier, what a fantastic shape James Mason is in.
42:09 But there's a reason why the Wolf of Thorn Street is still our current champion.
42:16 And there it is, the UKPW audience.
42:18 This is what I'm talking about.
42:20 Handing it to the crowd, see?
42:21 Now Roth's got the reversal.
42:23 Oh, shot from Roth.
42:25 That's what I need.
42:26 He is a crowd pleaser.
42:29 Oh, Mason catches him.
42:34 And there we are.
42:35 And as quick as that.
42:37 Referee out.
42:39 Referee was out of position there.
42:41 If the referee had been a bit, that could have been it.
42:43 That could have been new UKPW champion right there.
42:46 As quick as that.
42:52 Oh, Mason.
43:01 Everything Roth says.
43:02 Nice man there.
43:03 By James Mason.
43:04 Roth back on his face.
43:05 Nice shoulder tackle sending the champion down.
43:08 Oh, wait a minute.
43:10 Mason just managing this.
43:12 Every time Roth tries to get up and mount anything, Mason just seems to be a step, half a step ahead.
43:17 It would appear so from what we're seeing right now.
43:20 Oh, now, now, now.
43:21 Oh, there we go.
43:22 Oh, and Roth almost.
43:24 I literally just cannot call this match.
43:27 Oh, wait a minute.
43:28 Oh, look at that.
43:30 Oh, the shoulders up.
43:31 Oh, the shoulders up.
43:33 Oh, that was great.
43:34 Talk about what's to learn about margins.
43:36 That was close.
43:38 Oh, look at that.
43:45 That's going well.
43:47 Now Roth's got him.
43:49 Oh, no.
43:52 That's it.
43:53 That was it.
43:55 It's over.
43:56 That was it.
43:57 That was it.
43:58 Hold for hold.
44:04 Looking at one of the most even actually.
44:05 Mason's not even done yet.
44:06 Wow.
44:13 James Mason, rightly disappointed.
44:25 Not happy with that.
44:26 Not happy with that.
44:27 He wasn't out wrestling.
44:29 Oh, my.
44:31 Was that?
44:33 No way.
44:35 Well, grapple fans, what an amazing match that was.
44:42 The referee was even out of position for that one.
44:44 But grapple fans, what a treat it was to watch two of Britain's best inside a UKPW ring here on Kent Pro Wrestling.
44:53 Congratulations to the Wolf of Braun Street, Alexander Roth, for yet another successful championship defense.
45:00 Commiserations to James Mason.
45:02 I'm sure that won't be the last time we see him inside a UKPW ring.
45:06 But thank you so much, grapple fans.
45:08 I'm going to take you over to the event center.
45:10 We really do hope you enjoyed watching us today at Kent Pro Wrestling.
45:19 So much so that you want to stick around for the next episode where we've got the one man armory bullet facing against Kieran Lacey.
45:27 That's right.
45:28 Power on power.
45:30 Yeah, baby.
45:32 And that's not all.
45:33 We've got Alexander Roth coming in at it again, but this time in tag team action in the 87, where they'll be facing Harrison Leon and Tony Sin.
45:45 I can't tell you anything much more than this is going to be mighty simple for our eyeballs to be watching.
45:51 And then followed by that, you've got your main event where you've got Lewis Basham.
45:57 Let me just say that again.
45:59 Lewis Basham in your main event.
46:05 That's right.
46:07 I'm not going to tell you who he's facing.
46:08 You've got to see that in the next episode.
46:10 So we'll be seeing you soon in Kent Pro Wrestling right here on KMTV.
46:14 See you soon, grapple fans.
