The Netflix documentary "Man On The Run" which focuses on the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) scandal became a hot topic at Datuk Seri Najib Razak's corruption trial on Monday (Jan 8).

The documentary was raised when the defence demanded for the "contemptuous" show to be taken off the streaming platform.

00:42 Thomas and Prime Minister Dato Sri Anwar Ibrahim.
00:47 The documentary also featured interviews with Najib, former Damansara MP Tony Puan, whistleblower
00:53 Xavier Andre Justo and Sarawak Report editor Claire Rue Castle-Brown, among others.
00:59 Mahmood Shafi said Najib instructed him to file contempt proceedings against Thomas and
01:05 file a legal action against Rue Castle-Brown over their statements in the documentary.
