00:00 How do you feel about making a pro ball
00:03 for another team?
00:04 Yeah, I mean, it's a good feeling.
00:06 You make the pro ball.
00:09 Talk about your peers and about the league.
00:13 So it's a good feeling.
00:16 [inaudible]
00:21 Yeah, I definitely do.
00:23 Like I said before, it's getting better every day,
00:24 you know, around the clock treatment
00:27 and everything like that.
00:28 So I definitely [inaudible]
00:31 [inaudible]
00:35 You're going to get the weekend off, too,
00:36 just to give you some more time?
00:38 Yeah.
00:40 Yeah, and I need that rest, obviously.
00:45 I mean, yeah, we get time off.
00:47 It's going to be good for my injury.
00:48 [inaudible]
00:52 [inaudible]
00:56 [inaudible]
01:00 [inaudible]
01:04 Yeah, it's an amazing opportunity, you know,
01:07 to go out there, to be able to start in an NFL game,
01:10 to be able to, you know, display your talents.
01:14 You know, these guys have been developing all season long,
01:17 and they finally get an opportunity to show,
01:18 you know, what that development was all about.
01:22 [inaudible]
01:28 Yeah, I was looking forward to playing.
01:30 You know, I hadn't ran since the game on Sunday.
01:34 So, you know, I don't really look forward to sitting out.
01:38 You know, there's some--
01:40 you know, try to do some pregame stuff,
01:42 and just wasn't really anything.
01:45 [inaudible]
01:50 I don't know.
01:52 [inaudible]
01:58 [inaudible]
02:05 Yeah, the girls played really well.
02:08 They spent a lot.
02:09 Those guys have really taken a liking towards them.
02:14 You know, he just came in and did his job.
02:17 He's been a complete professional.
02:19 He's learned a lot.
02:21 [inaudible]
02:29 [inaudible]
02:33 Yeah, you know, at the end of the day,
02:35 depth is really important.
02:36 You have to have a lot of depth there,
02:38 a lot of different positions.
02:39 But, you know, that's why we train.
02:41 That's why, you know, the team hires great coaches
02:45 and things of that nature.
02:48 That's why the team goes out and pick up quality players
02:52 offseason, you know, because of situations
02:55 that are inevitable throughout the course of the season,
02:58 like guys getting hurt.
03:01 So I wasn't really worried, you know,
03:04 about injuries or things of that nature,
03:07 because, you know, I knew we had the right guys.
03:11 [inaudible]
03:16 What can you say about the year that you've had
03:18 and the growth that you've seen from him
03:21 the last couple of years he's been here in the program?
03:24 Yeah, you know, my second year playing with Dave.
03:28 It's his willingness to get better,
03:30 willingness to learn, you know,
03:31 him wanting to get better each and every day.
03:34 You know, Dave has a lot of talent, you know,
03:37 a lot of speed, a lot of good qualities for his position.
03:41 He's very strong, a great blocker.
03:44 You know, the sky's really the limit for him,
03:46 because, you know, I can see him continuing to get better
03:49 each and every year, even though he's in his,
03:51 I believe, his seventh year.
03:53 So, you know, I'm happy for him that he got his first Pro Bowl.
03:56 Real proud of him.
03:58 But I'm sure that there's many more to come.
04:01 [inaudible]
04:06 As you mentioned, [inaudible]
04:12 I really can't speak on the years that I wasn't here with him.
04:15 I mean, you know, as an NFL player,
04:17 you don't really get to too much watch other players,
04:20 especially players that aren't playing your position
04:22 or your opposing position.
04:24 So I don't really know what Dave's career was like
04:27 before I got here, to be honest.
04:30 But I know when I did get here,
04:33 one of the things I recognized about him
04:34 is he was really fast, really tight-end.
04:37 Usually, you know, you have, like, the tight end
04:40 that has a lot of good speed and stuff like that.
04:42 Usually, they're only good for passing.
04:45 But I noticed right away that he's a great blocker as well.
04:48 [inaudible]
04:56 No, I don't do anything different.
04:58 I mean, obviously, there's height awareness.
05:02 Yeah, you might want to do a little extra.
05:04 You know what I mean?
05:06 You know, maybe some more push-ups.
05:07 You know what I mean? Run a little bit more.
05:10 Because you do get excited for the playoffs.
05:13 And teams, I would say, from my experience,
05:16 they become more intentional.
05:19 You know what I mean? Like, your game plan
05:20 is a little bit sharper.
05:22 Everything is just a little bit more sharper.
05:23 So, you know, you want to stay focused.
05:26 [inaudible]
05:34 [inaudible]
05:39 Can't hear you.
05:40 Sorry.
05:41 [inaudible]
05:54 Yeah, I would say it's just an idea.
05:56 It's like the whole Monday morning quarterback thing.
05:59 It's like, you know, quarterback plays bad.
06:02 It's easy to evaluate his performance,
06:05 you know, the day after and say,
06:06 "Well, he should have did this. He should have did that."
06:08 The same thing with, you know, wrestling players.
06:11 Because, I mean, if a team goes out there
06:13 and grind the whole week,
06:15 they'll say, you know, they worked too hard.
06:17 So you can never be right unless you win.
