At first sight, the Manero Central Counter suggests an athletic character, with its carbon-coated bezel, black sub-dials that display its chronograph functionality, and a black, hybrid rubber strap – all offsetting a stainless-steel case. This aesthetic would look perfectly at home during those more active city moments – whether you’re at the gym or walking to your next meeting. It’s also up to the task whenever you need it, with white-on-black tachymeter numbering and Super-Luminova-filled index marks for at-a-glance accuracy as the light dims.

On closer inspection, however, this is far more than a watch for physicality. The detail on the finishes, the colors and the understated design give it a carefully considered boldness and sophistication. The four natural colorways of the dial (available in blue, salmon, brown and green), along with a sunray-brushed finish that scatters the light, allow the timepiece to flex beyond leisure wear into other creative, dressy or fashionable situations. It’s ideal for a work meeting, to accompany you to dinner or to be your plus-one at the cinema.
