00:03 We are very excited to be collaborating with the Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund
00:08 to build a permanent campus for our work.
00:10 So we work in the park protecting the gorillas, educating local communities,
00:15 building the next generation of conservationists in Rwanda,
00:19 and also conducting the groundbreaking science that Diane Fossey started so many years ago.
00:23 So the campus will give us a permanent home, so we will move our headquarters,
00:28 which is now Musanzi, up next to the edge of the park,
00:31 which will be closer to the work that we're doing every day in the park.
00:34 And it will enable us to work more with universities in Rwanda to train young Rwandan biologists,
00:40 to support the work of RDB in conservation and study of the biodiversity of the park,
00:45 to increase the work that we are doing with local communities
00:48 to help them understand and benefit from conservation.
00:51 So it will take our operations back to the edge of the park
00:55 and enable us to do even more to help conserve Rwanda's biodiversity.
00:59 And we hope we will break ground in early 2019,
01:02 and our goal is hopefully to be done in late 2020.
01:06 The campus will be done in late 2020.
01:08 The cost of the campus is $10 million,
01:10 so it will be a $10 million investment in Rwanda and Rwanda's future in conservation.
