00:00 the- the- the- the- the-
00:12 Browns still reacting to the
00:14 browns thirty seven twenty win
00:15 over the Jets on Thursday
00:17 football that is locked up a
00:19 playoff berth for Cleveland the
00:20 first time since twenty twenty
00:22 second time obviously in four
00:23 years and just really the third
00:26 time since the franchise
00:28 has been around since we could
00:30 last talk about a browns team
00:33 that- has gone in in the
00:36 playoffs sort of within a four
00:38 year window it's been even
00:39 longer than that because Paul
00:40 Brown was the last the last
00:41 coach to do it back in the
00:43 nineteen fifties I saw that's
00:44 that nineteen fifty one
00:45 nineteen fifty three it speaks
00:47 to Anthony just the culture and
00:52 the franchise that has been
00:54 established here in Cleveland
00:56 and- it's interesting to say
00:59 because we're so used to this
01:01 browns team not being in the
01:03 situation like we're we're so
01:04 used to browns team that can't
01:06 get out of its own way and
01:07 this organizational failures and
01:09 all these different things and.
01:12 Suddenly we're talking about a
01:14 team that through a year
01:15 littered with injuries and all
01:17 kinds of adversity there
01:18 eleven five in the playoffs
01:21 just what does it say you think
01:22 about the job the Kevin
01:23 Sifanski's done this year to
01:25 get the team to the playoffs
01:26 seven to five in the post
01:28 season yeah it's truly
01:29 incredible and you know you
01:31 we've beaten it down everywhere
01:33 everywhere you look people look
01:34 at the injuries well it's so
01:36 hard to do what this team's
01:38 done and the reason that they've
01:40 been able to do it I think was
01:41 really evident- in the past two
01:43 weeks- not tonight really but
01:45 the path of the two games before
01:46 that were every time the any
01:49 player met with the media or to
01:50 earth spoken to a microphone it
01:52 was like Kevin Sifanski was
01:53 talking they kept talking about
01:54 sacrificing for their brother
01:56 everything that you hear Kevin
01:57 Sifanski say his team says and
01:59 when you see that and you hear
02:00 those things are like holy cow
02:02 this team is totally bought in
02:04 and that's what it is man it
02:05 doesn't matter this defense is a
02:07 great example of it how many
02:08 times this year has this
02:09 offense put them in a horrible
02:10 position that they've dug their
02:11 way out of or they've or they've
02:13 backed another team up or
02:14 whatever the case is they play
02:16 such good team football and it
02:18 may be sloppy at times they
02:19 turn the ball they love turn
02:20 the football over I did that
02:22 that's become an issue that's
02:23 like not even an issue anymore
02:24 they have to do it to win but
02:25 it's just this team is so well
02:26 connected and it starts at the
02:28 top this head coach Kevin
02:30 Sifanski and you were on it way
02:31 way back when they played
02:32 Seattle I think you wrote a
02:33 column saying they need to
02:34 extend this guy now but but he's
02:37 just done such a good job and
02:38 it's been so fun to watch him
02:40 in this group really just grind
02:41 through the season and do
02:42 something that really is
02:44 unprecedented in the NFL and
02:46 battle through all this
02:46 adversity I don't know if I was
02:48 that aggressive with it I think
02:49 it was a couple games later I
02:51 actually wrote that but had they
02:53 won the Seattle game I think it
02:54 would have been different you're
02:55 right but no I it's hard to kind
02:58 of put into words because like
02:59 I said we are so used to
03:00 following and covering and
03:02 talking about a team that has
03:04 just there's there's just
03:05 organizational failures across
03:07 the board and they they they
03:09 usually slip up in these
03:10 situations right but they got
03:12 the job done on Thursday
03:13 football in front of I guess
03:15 maybe not the entire world but
03:16 anybody who has Amazon Prime
03:18 watching watching nationally in
03:19 a prime time game where you're
03:21 the featured where you're the
03:22 featured team and I'll put it
03:25 to you like this I think Kevin
03:27 Stefanski all due respect to
03:29 guys like D'Amico Ryan's guys
03:32 like Dan Campbell in Detroit
03:34 who's obviously done a
03:34 phenomenal job I think it's it's
03:37 a disservice if Kevin Stefanski
03:39 doesn't win coach of the year
03:40 frankly like for him to go
03:42 through everything he's gone
03:43 through with his team this year
03:44 how many how many coaches could
03:47 be on their fourth starting
03:48 quarterback a guy who by the
03:50 way was on his couch for 11
03:51 weeks comes in and is now taking
03:53 this offense to a different
03:54 level like how many coaches can
03:56 say that they would have that
03:57 level of success with those
03:59 circumstances I don't think
04:00 there's many to me he has to
04:02 hands down be the coach of the
04:03 year and I think to even that's
04:06 on the surface level right you
04:07 know they're they're winning
04:08 football games there's one of
04:10 three teams that are still able
04:11 to they shut the lights out on
04:12 you there we go but they're one
04:14 of three teams that still able
04:16 to to get the one seed and yes
04:18 that that's great there but when
04:19 you talk about each individual
04:21 guy I think there's a story that
04:22 came out Nathan's a girl
04:23 interviewed Duran Harmon who
04:25 just signed with the team last
04:26 week and he was like my two
04:27 final choices were the San
04:29 Francisco 49ers and the
04:30 Cleveland Browns I talked to
04:31 everybody around the league and
04:32 I looked at this team I looked
04:33 at how much these guys love each
04:35 other and how much these guys
04:36 play for each other and care for
04:37 each other that I chose the
04:38 Cleveland Browns and it's that
04:39 doesn't happen because of guy
04:42 of one guy like miles Garrett or
04:43 one guy like Nick Chubb that
04:44 happens at the top when this
04:46 team's bought in and they're
04:47 winning and they're caring for
04:48 each other it points to one
04:50 person and that's your head
04:50 coach and this team isn't where
04:53 it is where it's at right now if
04:55 it wasn't for Kevin Stefanski
04:57 so just the hats off and one of
04:59 my favorite lines I saw tonight
05:01 some guy tweeted at us saying
05:02 he's so far in first place for
05:03 the coach of the year that he's
05:04 going to get first and second so
05:06 I know through orange and brown
05:09 colored glasses tonight but it
05:11 goes without saying that it's my
05:13 vote to be the coach of the year
05:15 in 2020 yeah yeah I think it
05:16 should be him I also think we
05:18 can't pay enough respect to
05:19 Kevin Stefanski we can't wax
05:21 poetic about him without also
05:23 doing the same for Andrew Barry
05:25 who has had to navigate all
05:26 these injuries bring in new
05:27 faces bring in new names I mean
05:29 just this past week he's
05:31 bringing in a kicker on the
05:32 practice squad and Riley
05:34 Patterson he's bringing in a new
05:36 punter because Corey Bajorquez
05:37 gets hurt like this guy has and
05:40 let's not forget like some of
05:41 the other moves he made leading
05:42 up to the season I mean moving
05:44 on from Kate York we know this
05:47 organization did not want to
05:48 admit they missed on that pick
05:49 they wanted to be so right about
05:51 Kate York and and organizations
05:53 never want to be wrong about
05:54 the draft picks but to own that
05:57 go out get Dustin Hopkins he's
05:59 been a key member of this team
06:00 the entire season long he has
06:02 single handedly won you several
06:03 games this year like from top to
06:05 bottom it's been pulling all the
06:07 right strings from Andrew Barry
06:08 to Kevin Stefanski I think both
06:10 these guys should be in the
06:11 running for their respective job
06:14 title roles the awards they're
06:16 handed out for those because
06:17 it's been a magnificent job and
06:19 it truly does go back to just
06:21 the culture that's being built
06:22 here and established I think the
06:24 line that Luke put on the title
06:25 screen was perfect building a
06:27 dynasty in Cleveland that's what
06:29 it feels like is happening here
06:30 with Andrew Barry and Kevin
06:31 Stefanski at the helm.
06:32 They they when Stefanski and
06:35 Barry came in and got hired they
06:36 kept saying this that they are
06:37 aligned they're they're aligned
06:39 they're aligned they're aligned
06:40 they see the same things and
06:41 they stuck with it right it
06:43 hasn't been pretty but they've
06:44 worked through it they've worked
06:46 through different things they've
06:46 brought in guys they've gotten
06:48 rid of guys and they've made
06:49 every move the right way and be
06:50 when you do that you end the
06:52 year at eleven you're you're
06:53 sitting at eleven and five with
06:54 one game left to go clinched up
06:56 a playoff spot it's a special
06:58 year and it's thanks to those
06:59 two for building this team and
07:01 keeping them going each and
07:02 every week.
07:03 Yeah no doubt about it they
07:05 certainly deserve tons of credit
07:06 and that is something that would
07:08 be a storyline here moving
07:09 forward as we I guess I guess see
07:11 where those award final votes
07:13 kind of fall but also as we
07:15 follow this bronze team into the
07:17 postseason as well as Anthony
07:18 said the playoff berth has been
07:20 locked up the bronze are going
07:22 to at least be the five seed
07:23 there is still a chance they
07:24 could be the one seed depending
07:25 on how some things play out they
07:26 need the Ravens to lose a couple
07:28 games here down the stretch they
07:29 need to win next week against
07:30 the Bengals as well so we'll see
07:32 all how how all that plays out
07:34 and comes to fruition but in the
07:36 meantime certainly probably
07:37 appraised Kevin Spansky and
07:38 Andrew Barry we have plenty more
07:40 coming your way as we continue
07:41 to recap the bronze win over the
07:42 Jets here on Thursday football
07:44 fall along and the bronze digest
07:46 YouTube page and as always at
07:47 brands digest dot com.
