Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson never doubted his team could overcome the 23-7 deficit to the New England Patriots.

00:00 >> Yeah, I thought we got down 23-7.
00:04 And we really got going in the fourth.
00:09 We just picked up the tempo a little bit, guys made some great plays.
00:13 Obviously, Cortland not being in there, I mean,
00:15 I think Brandon Johnson had to step up.
00:16 LJ, Mims, Jerry, and those guys just kept playing and battling.
00:22 Offensive line kept battling.
00:23 We got back, obviously, I don't know, we had two 80 yard drives or
00:28 whatever to make the score 23-23.
00:31 And we believe we won the game, unfortunately we didn't.
00:36 >> Yeah, Russ, I guess what was that sense of belief like,
00:38 I think in Chicago you talked about, you went to the sideline,
00:41 talked to guys about how you were gonna come back.
00:43 Was there that similar sort of belief tonight and
00:46 then to not be able to get it done, I guess, where's the disappointment lie there?
00:49 >> Yeah, I mean, I think to start one and five and
00:56 to fight the way we have all year, unfortunately, hasn't gone our way.
01:00 Especially tonight, you have to have a relentless belief that we're gonna come
01:05 back and we hurt ourselves tonight.
01:09 We got behind the eight ball, but we responded exceptionally well.
01:13 I kept telling the offense, let's just not give up, not give in, not give up,
01:18 not give in.
01:19 We're gonna find a way to come back and tie this game up.
01:22 We knew we had to go get a touchdown, we knew we had to get two point conversion,
01:25 we knew we had to get another touchdown, another two point conversion.
01:28 That's what we did.
01:29 And we thought that we were gonna be able to win that game.
01:34 I thought everybody battled, this meant a lot to us all, and it didn't go our way.
