Pakistan transported its first shipment of dry red chilies to China on Dec 19 as part of enhanced agricultural cooperation between the two countries under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

00:11 To mark the event, a grand ceremony was held on Tuesday in Pakistan's port city of Karachi
00:17 in southern Sindh province, attended by officials, experts and business people, among others,
00:22 from both Pakistan and China.
00:24 I believe that we must invite and employ new technology, hybrid seeds, corporate farming
00:32 and benchmark agricultural practices with Chinese help and Chinese support.
00:39 And this chili export is the first gateway to our agricultural exports, which is a landmark
00:49 and we are thankful to China for letting us have this access to the Chinese market.
00:54 We are not just working with farmers.
00:57 We pay a lot of attention to train the people, to train those agricultural professionals

01:06 We have trained over 1,500 Pakistani agricultural technicians, provide 6,000 temporary employment
01:15 opportunities and significantly boosting economic benefits for local farmers.
01:24 Pakistan is among the leading chili-producing countries in the world, with the potential

01:31 Chinese technical teams are collaborating with local farmers, landowners and universities
