00:12 From Israel, Jimmy Pacheco returned to his family's warm embrace

00:19 that followed him at the airport, just a week before Christmas.

00:26 A family he didn't expect to see again after the fall of Hamas,

00:34 Pacheco was released on November 24,

00:37 the first day of the humanitarian pause between Israel and Hamas.

00:52 Pacheco told a caregiver about his experience

00:56 when Hamas invaded Israel on October 7.

01:00 He said he hid his old wife in a bomb shelter.

01:04 She told me that I locked all the doors.

01:10 I secured my life because she was already old.

01:15 I chose to stay with her until her last breath.

01:22 She was killed in the shelter where she was sleeping.

01:29 It was around 8 or 8.30.

01:33 She was cut three times.

01:37 Two of them hit my chest and here.

01:42 I'm just praying to God.

01:45 Despite what happened, Pacheco will return to Israel to work again.

01:50 He has three job offers a day that he's waiting for, according to his wife.

01:55 I don't want to lose my hard work since I was a child until now.

02:01 Pacheco's family will celebrate Christmas together.

02:05 The time came when I lost hope because I thought it was over.

02:09 I haven't talked to anyone for 49 days.

02:15 We haven't heard from each other.

02:19 It's good that it's over.

02:24 Pacheco was joined by officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs,

02:27 Department of Migrant Workers,

02:29 and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration who brought help.

02:33 The Israel Embassy also promised to help him.

02:37 He's entitled of getting all the support that any other Israeli who is a victim of terror.

02:44 Clarice mentioned that she wants to have a business.

02:48 Jimmy agreed that she wants to have a business in the market.

02:53 Aside from Jimmy Pacheco,

02:54 we also have many Filipinos who are returning home this Christmas.

02:58 They are excited about the traditional Filipino Christmas,
