On December 1, roughly a thousand rallied in NYC, demanding a ceasefire in Gaza after Israel's announcement to resume attacks, resulting in 700+ casualties since it broke the ceasefire. The demonstrators highlighted that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and US President Joe Biden effectively authorized Israel to commit the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

01:15 and marched to the New York Times office on December 1st
01:18 to demand a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
01:22 The protests come following Israel's announcement
01:24 that it would resume its genocidal attacks on the enclave.
01:28 The protests also demanded an end to all USAID to Israel,
01:33 the release of all Palestinian prisoners,
01:35 and freedom for Palestine.
01:38 At least 700 have been killed by the Israeli forces
01:42 since they broke the ceasefire.
01:45 Israel resumed its widespread bombing of Gaza
01:48 following US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's visit to Israel,
01:52 wherein he reiterated the US backing
01:54 of Israel's right to self-defense.
01:57 The protesters pointed out that Blinken
01:59 and the US President Joe Biden
02:01 essentially have given the green light to Israel
02:04 to continue carrying out a genocide in Gaza.
02:07 The protest demonstration was organized
02:09 by the Palestinian Youth Movement,
02:11 the Answer Coalition, the People's Forum,
02:14 Al-Awda New York, and other progressive organizations.
02:18 We charge the US with genocide.
02:22 The last two months has made the terms of our struggle
02:26 crystal clear.
02:28 Our struggle, the Palestinian struggle,
02:31 is one that is at the forefront
02:33 of fighting against global imperialism.
02:36 And with this clarity, the US role in the genocide on Palestine
02:41 has never been more obvious to everyone around the world.

02:48 But the US wants the best of both worlds.
02:52 It wants to drench its hands in blood
02:54 in order to achieve its regional interests,
02:57 and at the same time, pretends its hands are clean.
03:02 We are here to tell them
03:03 that there is no hiding their crimes.
03:06 We gathered in love and rage and mourning,
03:09 and we gather again today in rage
03:12 at the continued genocide of our people.
03:15 We'll never become numb to this genocide.
03:19 We'll never become numb to the numbers of martyrs rising.
03:23 We won't become numb to the genocide of 1948,
03:27 the genocide of the last 75 years,
03:30 or the genocide happening right now.

03:35 -And we won't because our people bring us life.
03:38 Our martyrs bring us life.
03:41 And we're here to honor that and to carry the struggle forward.
03:45 We are here to fight, to fight for those martyrs,
03:49 but to also fight for the living and the liberation of the living.

04:35 the struggle for human dignity.
04:38 And we will not let off.

04:43 We are not going to sit idly by.
04:46 The fact is, is that like every bully,
04:49 the Zionists, Israel,
04:51 and the United States White House are weak.
04:54 They are afraid of children.
04:56 They are afraid of women.
04:58 They are afraid of families.
04:59 They are afraid of a people who are standing up
05:02 for their fundamental rights of self-determination.
05:06 And they are afraid of this group of people.
05:08 They are afraid of their own population
05:11 that knows the difference between right and wrong.
