Utah Jazz head coach Will Hardy was frustrated seeing his team fall back into bad habits in a 105-91 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.

00:00 First of all, credit to Memphis, they played really hard.
00:05 I think their physicality bothered us tonight.
00:09 Obviously, we really, really struggled
00:12 from two-point range and in particular in the paint.
00:16 Going 18 for 44 in the paint is a tough recipe.
00:22 You couple that with 18 turnovers, it's also hard.
00:26 I think the frustrating part is that the first four
00:31 and a half, five minutes of the game,
00:34 we showed how we wanna play.
00:37 It didn't matter who was where, our spacing was clean,
00:41 the ball was moving around very crisply
00:45 and we were getting open looks
00:46 and then we sort of reverted back to some old habits.
00:56 Breaking habits, forming new ones is hard.
00:59 It takes an extreme amount of focus,
01:02 especially when you're not playing in your gym.
01:05 I think that our team is continuing to improve.
01:12 I think that the trend is going in the right direction
01:15 and tonight, there were large chunks of the game,
01:20 in particular, the second quarter
01:22 where it was a step back for us.
01:26 And as we continue to try to build winning habits
01:30 that are sustainable, we have to understand
01:35 that the biggest thing that's facing us
01:37 is our ability to snap ourselves back into focus
01:42 when things start to go poorly
01:44 so we don't let two or three bad minutes
01:47 become a bad quarter because that's really hard to overcome.
01:52 But I don't wanna take anything away from Memphis.
01:56 They played really, really hard
01:57 and they deserve to win the game.
01:59 We've gotta face the fact that on the road,
02:04 our intensity, our physicality,
02:07 and how connected we are
02:10 has really gotta take a big step forward.
