00:02 - Hello, Hastings!
00:05 It's me, Ben Watson!
00:07 - And me, Tim McArthur, and we are so excited
00:11 to be back at the White Rock with you all this Christmas!
00:14 - That's right!
00:15 We'll be appearing in the wonderful pantomime, Cinderella,
00:19 causing more mischief and panto mayhem.
00:22 Isn't that right, Fairy Godmum?
00:24 - That sure is right, Bunt.
00:26 We've got another wonderful panto for you again this year,
00:29 and we can't wait to get started.
00:31 Now, the magic starts on the 15th of December,
00:34 and the best news is that ticket prices
00:37 have been reduced this year,
00:38 so you can grab yourself a bargain!
00:40 - Wow!
00:41 - Whee!
00:42 - Oh, how amazing is that, Fairy Godmum?
00:44 Right, better grab yourself some tickets
00:46 before they all sell out at whiterocktheatre.org.uk.
00:51 Right, come on, you.
00:52 You've got some wishes to grant this year.
00:54 See you later, gang!
00:55 Bye!
00:56 (upbeat music)
00:59 - Funniest thing that's ever happened to me in panto
01:17 immediately springs to mind,
01:18 and what a lot of people that are listening to this
01:20 that came to last year's will remember is ballon.
01:23 I was attacked by giant balloons by Tim.
01:27 I put my face into a balloon into Tim's bosom,
01:31 and there was just this one moment where I went,
01:33 what am I doing with my life?
01:35 - Hastings audiences are absolutely fabulous,
01:37 and this is my sixth year of being at the White Rock Theatre,
01:41 and every year, the audiences are just so loud and joyful,
01:45 and it's really gorgeous to look out and see them,
01:48 and they're so warm and welcoming as well, you know?
01:50 Like, I'll be out buying a potato in a shop,
01:52 and they go, "You're the dame,"
01:53 and I go, "No, I'm not, actually.
01:54 "I'm just, I'm just, I'm just out buying a potato."
01:57 - So my favorite character in "Cinderella"
01:59 has to be Buttons, because he's Cinderella's best friend,
02:04 he's funny, he's caring.
02:06 Really, he's the only person that's nice to her,
02:08 so big shout out to Buttons.
02:11 - Oh, I think this'll be my fifth or my sixth pantomime.
02:14 I've done quite a few "Sleeping Beauties,"
02:15 where I'm normally the wicked queen,
02:17 and this'll be my second time appearing
02:18 as an evil stepsister in "Cinderella,"
02:20 so I'm thrilled to be back
02:21 and being really super horrible this year.
02:23 - Done "Jack and the Beanstalk" twice.
02:25 This is my second "Cinderella,"
02:27 and I've done "Two Beauty and the Beast,"
02:29 so this is my sixth panto.
02:31 Oh, yes it is. (laughs)
02:33 - People should come and see the show "Cinderella,"
02:35 because it's magical.
02:36 - We've got good, we've got evil, we've got magic,
02:38 we've got flying horse, we've got comedy, laughs.
02:41 - Fun, laughter, music, dancing, comedy.
02:44 - Fun for all the family.
02:45 - There's music, there's comedy, there's chaos.
02:48 - And there's something for everybody,
02:49 for the young children, for the adults.
02:52 It's just really a show that everyone can get involved in.
