00:00 intermittent fasting. I started doing that because somebody told me it's a good thing to do and I believe them because I'm very
00:06 gullible
00:08 And it's worked really well actually I have to say. Hi, I'm Michael Fassbender and today
00:12 I'm going to show you what my diet looks like
00:15 I do like exercising so you know I'll train five times a week usually
00:27 I don't work much so that takes care of that. I do this sort of workout
00:32 My wife introduced me to this thing which was called the bikini body app. I was like yeah sure
00:38 I'll try that how hard can it be and it's hard
00:40 Now it's called the sweat app because maybe they realize to be taking out a demographic
00:46 Like myself by calling it a bikini body app, but now it's the sweat app, and it's it's hard burpees
00:53 Push-ups sit-ups you know a warm-up I might do that on the jump rope or running or an elliptical
00:58 10 minutes on the heavy bag
01:01 Cardio based body weight stuff in general and then if I'm traveling around like now I might go to the gym and use some
01:08 Machines just you know for strength work, and I do that more for like the mental benefits as opposed to the physical
01:16 Benefits, I mean both are good
01:18 But I find like mentally it sets me up for the day if I go and hit the gym first thing in the morning
01:24 I eat everything and anything
01:29 except
01:31 Celery I'm allergic to celeriac which I only developed in my 20s. I don't like Irish stew and
01:38 I'm not crazy about cod
01:41 But other than that I pretty much eat everything
01:44 My favorite food is pizza
01:47 and in terms of
01:49 Dieting I guess the only real
01:51 Significant shift I've done with my diet is intermittent fasting. I started doing that in April this year
01:58 So I'll stop snacking at around 830. Let's say so then I won't eat again
02:05 Then until 1230 the next day so it's 16 hours
02:09 So basically you're just taking out breakfast, and that's not for a weight loss thing. That's just for
02:15 Health reasons one thing I do break my fast a little bit
02:19 I'll have coffee in the morning with a little splash of milk
02:21 So I'll have two cups of coffee, and then I'll you know I'll train
02:25 So I'll break the fast with AG greens mix that in with you know cold water drink that as I'm preparing lunch for lunch
02:33 I
02:34 Could easily do like half a chicken potatoes veg
02:37 Or salad, so I'll eat like a proper meal for lunch
02:41 I might snack a little bit through the day some nuts, but I'm not a big snacker
02:46 I might have some fruit. You know an apple. You know whatever nectarine
02:49 For dinner. I'll have a big you know full meal again. We usually eat around pensioners our
02:56 637 o'clock early dinner try not to eat too much red meat, but I could definitely eat it almost every day
03:04 I eat probably red meat maybe four times a week fish
03:07 Potatoes or rice do a lot of stuff in the oven so I'll roast some broccoli or like I say
03:13 I'll make a salad, so I really have two main meals, and then you know after dinner
03:18 I'll have some ice cream something sweet. You know I don't really watch too carefully what I'm eating without sounding smug
03:25 I'm kind of lucky. I kind of burn off a lot of
03:28 Calories just naturally when we were doing 300 thing they were like you go and eat whatever you want
03:34 You know some people were on a very specific diet
03:36 I don't really watch what I'm eating when assassins creed
03:40 You know up early in the morning get in the gym
03:42 You know before going to hair and makeup and in the gym for an hour before we started the day
03:47 And that was it really I ate a lot of chicken and a lot of chicken
03:50 One role I did I had to lose a lot of weight. It's a film called hunger
03:58 Usually I'll sit it between like 72 kilos to 74 when I did hunger
04:04 I the target was to get down to 58 kilos
04:06 Which I did that was over a 10-week period that I had to take that weight off
04:10 So I started with a thousand calories a day
04:13 And I did that for about four weeks, and then I kind of flatlined at 64 kilos
04:18 So then I took it down to 600 calories a day
04:20 So that was just basically a tin of sardines some berries and a handful of nuts a day
04:25 I wouldn't do what I did for hunger again. I wouldn't do that to my body again. No
04:31 What's harder diet or workout the workout because I don't really follow a diet the workouts always hard
04:38 It always starts with me looking at my runners. You know for about 10 minutes, and I don't have a trainer
04:43 I do like I exercise by myself. I am pretty motivated when I do get going if there's not a lot of you know rest
04:49 I push I push hard, but it's always interesting the gremlins. You know when you're working out. You know some days
04:55 It's like oh you didn't sleep very well. You know don't you know you don't have to do the whole exercise
04:58 I know that I do not completing whatever the workout
05:02 I've set myself to do the rest of the day is going to be ruined and you know the opposite side of that if I do
05:08 Complete the workout day is going to be great
05:10 Best food smell in the world nice do like a bolognese sauce coffee
05:17 I know it's not a food, but it's a good smell favorite protein steak
05:22 Comfort food for me would be pizza and spaghetti bolognese
05:28 at the same time
05:30 Peanut butter don't really eat it either smooth or chunky, but if I had to choose I'd probably go smooth
05:37 Yes, and I had it when I landed here
05:40 Yesterday straight in and out I have two cheeseburgers. I like a smash burger
05:45 I like the ratio between the beef patty and the bun it can't be too thick for me. No bacon
05:51 I like cheese for sure melted raw onion pickles crucial tomato ketchup
05:57 salad
05:58 tomato
06:00 Hmm good question. I'll say Magneto a few questions. I would say like you know
06:06 Yes, so what would I eat in bed probably more like snack foods?
06:11 Probably popcorn or if I'm in a hotel and I might do room service and eat whatever
06:17 I've ordered in the bed while watching movies
06:19 I've thought about this death row sort of scenario
06:22 Then it's something that I'd need to keep down obviously because I'd be pretty nervous
06:25 So my last meal I think would be
06:28 steak fries and salad
06:31 No, but I mean I've always been curious about you know
06:34 Sports diets, and I guess it's changed. I think probably
06:39 Thomas Rangan's period when he was playing
06:42 It was probably you know eat whatever obviously science has come into play a lot more
06:48 I don't know now what modern science would say what what they would eat before a game
06:53 No, I don't know how much
06:55 Soccer players do keto diet or how much still carbohydrate based it is I know like people that are doing you know
07:02 Marathons and stuff will eat maybe a lot of pasta or rice or get the carbohydrate injection
07:08 I'm Michael Fassbender, and that's what my diet looks like
07:11 You
