Notre Dame Needs Payback Against Stanford

00:12 of weight for me because I look at this team and I say, cause they, I heard the press conference

00:16 yesterday where a couple of the players were asked about it and they all talked about it

00:21 like very openly as far as like the players have talked about it, right.

00:24 They have talked about it.

00:26 And I think that for me, it's like, you know that this team, I would be shocked if this

00:32 team wasn't laser focused against the Stanford team because that was an embarrassing loss

00:35 last year.

00:36 It's not like you lost a nail biter against a pretty good football team, one that you're

00:40 still better than.

00:41 And, but you know, it was just a couple, like you said, like a couple of fluky things happen

00:45 and you know, a couple of, yeah, right.

00:50 This game is one where there was nothing positive to come in that Notre Dame Stanford game last

00:55 year.

00:56 I mean, if you tuned into the post game show last year, it was just like three hours of

00:59 like yelling guys, that sucks.

01:03 Like, I don't know that I've ever been more pissed off after a game than that one, Ryan.

01:09 It was, it was a very frustrating few hours and then it was a very frustrating week and

01:16 it was very frustrating months after that.

01:18 Honestly, like the Snapper game kind of stuck with you for a little bit and I have to think

01:23 that it has stuck with Marcus Freeman.

01:25 I have to think that it has stuck with this Notre Dame staff and I have to think that

01:28 it is stuck with the players that were on the field for that game.

01:31 Cause it, it has to man, it has to, especially cause you knocked it out of the park.

01:36 It was at home in front of your fans, front of your family, and that happened to you.

01:41 So yes, there were a couple of things that people will look for, look at and be like,

01:44 oh, are they going to be, you know, super laser focused or going to be traveling.

01:48 Thanks right after Thanksgiving, all those things.

01:50 And all those questions have merit to it as far as the focus aspect.

01:54 But I think that what negates the focus question marks is that you're playing a team that

01:58 embarrassed you last year, like embarrassed you.
