00:00 >> Not that you maybe were consciously thinking of it coming into this season,
00:05 but was it maybe in the back of your mind that you were gonna do whatever you
00:10 could to make this as memorable of a season for Marvin as possible,
00:15 seeing as how it might be the only one that you two can play together?
00:18 Or is it just kind of worked out that way?
00:21 >> Yeah, obviously coming off the year that he had last year,
00:25 there's a lot of expectation around him.
00:28 But I think in the off season, the biggest thing that we did was put the work in.
00:31 And then I think obviously he's a great player and
00:34 anytime he can get the ball in his hands, good things happen.
00:38 And I think that's just a result of how good of a player he is.
00:43 And I say it all the time,
00:45 spoiled just with all the talent I have around me, all the weapons I have.
00:49 But for sure, I mean, knowing it's a long time coming,
00:52 I was playing high school together and then coming here and
00:54 kind of seeing the whole thing play out is pretty sweet.
00:58 >> Last question, I don't know if you believe this,
01:01 but were they giving it to him early?
01:03 >> Yeah, no, I think there definitely is.
01:07 I think anytime early on in the game, you can get some of the completions going and
01:12 kind of get the flow a little bit, understand what the defense is trying to
01:15 do as well as what you're trying to do in offense.
01:19 I think that helps a lot.
01:21 And so I think we did a good job coming out strong and putting points on the board.
01:25 I think anytime you can score that first touchdown,
01:28 I think that's just a huge moment.
01:30 >> When you're in that group, you kind of acknowledge it at all?
01:33 Are you aware that you're in that group and
01:35 how does that maybe change the way you're moving forward or going all back there?
01:39 >> Yeah, no, I think you can definitely feel when things are clicking.
01:43 I think just the whole offense, and I think I wouldn't be able to do that.
01:48 I think it takes the run game, obviously it takes the protection of the front,
01:51 it takes the guys making contested catches.
01:54 So I think really the quarterback's success is kind of dependent on
01:57 the offense around them.
01:59 And obviously here, there's not a better group of guys.
02:02 So I mean, anytime you can get things rolling like that early on,
02:05 you know it's gonna do good at the office.
02:08 >> That flip last you had, the cage, just like what happened?
02:13 How did you get the line to hit the wall?
02:14 Did I just like, I missed a shot?
02:16 >> Yeah, so obviously, not exactly how we drew it up.
02:20 They ran a pretty good defense for the play we had called.
02:23 And went to my first few reads and they weren't open, just tried to scramble up.
02:29 And Cade made a good play, just kind of slipping through there and
02:33 it was just kind of back court football-ish.
02:36 You flipped it to him, he made a good play, handle on it, and
02:39 I think he picked up a first down in that play.
02:41 So obviously not something you draw for exactly practice.
02:45 I think we're just out there kind of like back court football.
02:48 >> When you guys go over that on film, what's the reaction?
02:51 What's his reaction?
02:53 >> Just be careful.
02:54 Obviously, you wanna play free, you wanna play loose, and
02:58 you wanna trust your instincts.
02:59 But at the same time, as long as you're taking care of the ball, it's good.
03:04 And especially early on in the game,
03:07 making sure that you're not putting the ball at risk there.
03:10 Which I felt in the moment, just kind of the reaction play,
03:13 it was a safe kind of play there.
03:16 And obviously Cade did a great job picking up some yards.
03:19 >> All right, Kyle.
