00:00 >> Hi, I'm Skylar Gerard, this is John Gillespie and Ben King and
00:03 we're here with Fan Nation, The Grove Report.
00:05 So Micah Pettis did get hurt, so how does this affect Ole Miss?
00:09 >> Well, I do think it's kind of important.
00:11 I mean, he doesn't play a skilled position, he is an offensive lineman, but
00:15 it's never good to lose your starting right tackle.
00:16 It's especially not good to lose them when you're going into Athens.
00:20 Georgia's defense is stingy.
00:21 They're not as hyped as they have been in years past, but
00:24 they are still pretty talented.
00:26 I think it's pretty noteworthy,
00:30 because Jackson Dart's gonna have to have time to throw.
00:35 We're gonna need running lanes, that kind of thing.
00:37 So yeah, I mean, I think it is a setback.
00:42 I don't know that it's massively detrimental, but he is a talented right
00:46 tackle, and so I do think that it is worth stating.
00:50 >> I think it's definitely a significant loss for Ole Miss' run game in particular.
00:54 He's a big guy, big road paver for the Rebels this year.
00:57 In the past game, I don't think the Rebels will take too much of a hit, honestly.
01:00 Jaden Williams should slide in at either left or right tackle.
01:04 They might switch him and Victor Kern around.
01:06 But Jaden Williams is one of the better pass blockers actually on the Ole Miss
01:09 team last year when he played.
01:10 So I've got confidence in him sliding in.
01:13 Should only see a real impact in the Ole Miss run game.
01:17 >> And what do you all think Ole Miss has to do this weekend against Georgia?
01:21 >> I think coming into the game, I don't think Ole Miss is really being given a shot.
01:27 I think they have a real puncher's chance in this game.
01:30 I think establishing some offensive momentum against this defense,
01:34 especially early, Lane Kiffin is very good at scripting early drives,
01:39 leading to some early scores.
01:42 And then coming out with some momentum in the second half,
01:43 I think is gonna be really, really key.
01:45 Because it's a hostile environment, it's a night crowd, that kind of thing.
01:49 Athens is always rowdy anyway, and you're going up against a really good team.
01:53 So coming out, establishing some momentum early in the first and
01:56 the second halves, I think is what I'll be looking at.
02:00 >> Yeah, Rebels gotta score fast and score first, I think, honestly.
02:03 They've been too many times this year where they've stalled out in the middle of
02:06 games or first, second, third quarter on offense.
02:08 And if they do that in Athens on Saturday, they're probably gonna lose.
02:12 So they've gotta score fast, take advantage of opportunities when they get them,
02:15 and try to lessen as many mistakes as they can on defense.
02:20 Probably won't give up a lot of turnovers.
02:21 Carson Beck has only thrown four interceptions this year,
02:23 along with Jackson Yard.
02:24 So he's not all that wild with the ball.
02:28 So gonna have to get to him and hopefully just force him three and outs.
02:31 >> And what are y'all's predictions for this big game day weekend?
02:36 >> I'm going Georgia by seven.
02:37 I think Ole Miss will be in it until the end.
02:42 And Ole Miss may even have a lead late.
02:44 But I do think that Georgia, at the end of the day, they do have more talent.
02:48 It is at home, it is a night game.
02:50 I'm not surprised if Ole Miss wins necessarily, regardless of the Vegas line.
02:55 But I am gonna take Georgia by seven.
02:57 >> I'm gonna be hopefully optimistic in Ole Miss' favor this weekend.
03:01 I had their hopes up for Alabama.
03:04 I think they're gonna do it against Georgia.
03:05 It's gonna be close, though.
03:06 I haven't run it by three points, 31 to 28.
03:10 It's definitely gonna be close.
03:11 They're gonna need some magic more than anything.
03:13 If they win, it's gonna come down to magic, simply put.
03:16 >> And Ole Miss will play against Georgia in Athens on Saturday night at 6 PM, and
03:21 it will be broadcasted on ESPN.
