00:00 You guys have never hesitated to put a freshman out
00:02 in the field with the game still on the line,
00:04 and Parker and Green last year.
00:07 Did I see Jacob Lane out there at the end of this game?
00:09 Yeah, absolutely.
00:11 Was that because Sakai got banged up?
00:13 Yeah, well, and I think Jacob's been making
00:15 some fantastic progress.
00:16 I mean, we are very, very pleased with him.
00:19 I think he is going to be, you know, the next -
00:22 he's got a chance, but if he continues to develop,
00:24 is going to be one of the next dynamic edges at UW
00:28 and has been playing extremely well in practice.
00:31 And, you know, obviously we got short
00:33 on a couple of guys out there on Saturday,
00:35 and he's taken a lot of practice reps
00:37 to the point that we're getting to trust him
00:39 and know that he's an elusive pass rusher.
00:41 And critical situations, like, okay,
00:43 let's go get the quarterback, young pup.
00:46 And there's - and he's on a fantastic track,
00:49 upward trend right now for us.
00:50 Goforth was really familiar with everybody on that team.
00:53 How much help was he pregame,
00:54 or was he able to snip anything out?
00:57 You know, we got a little bit of tidbits
00:58 throughout the course of the week.
00:59 Obviously, he's gone against that offense,
01:00 you know, daily in practice for, you know, some time.
01:03 And so, it got a little bit of a feel.
01:04 And, you know, but really leading up to -
01:06 I know it was a really emotional game for him
01:09 and wanted him to, you know, focus on just taking care of,
01:12 you know, what he needed to handle.
01:13 But had some good insight on a few things for us,
01:16 that, you know, just some small, detailed things
01:19 that were good things for us to know.
01:22 But at the same time, it was kind of a -
01:23 it was a great day for him, you know,
01:24 obviously being able to - I'm so excited for him.
01:27 That third and five, the end of the game,
01:29 he gets to make the tackle on their sideline.
01:30 What a cool - what a cool deal for him.
