PeWillie Green, Zion Williamson, and Jordan Hawkins Speak On The Rookie's Career Night Against Denver.
Transcript
00:00 He's fearless.
00:03 When he's open, he's going to shoot it.
00:04 He's aggressive.
00:05 And the beauty in it is that Brandon, Z, all his teammates,
00:09 Larry, they're looking for him.
00:11 And to have the floor space for those guys
00:14 with moving and cutting and player movement, ball movement,
00:18 it's beautiful to watch.
00:19 We just got to do it for 48 minutes.
00:21 Like I say, I always have high prayers for Jordan.
00:25 A rookie that comes in with that type of confidence,
00:27 especially against a team like that, that's big time.
00:32 But if we want to be great, we got to finish the games up.
00:36 It's great.
00:37 Not a lot of guys, especially rookies,
00:39 are fortunate to get put in the situation I'm in.
00:42 But I'm blessed to have the coaching staff I have
00:45 and all the teammates I have.
00:47 So I'm in a great situation.
00:49 And I can't complain about anything.
00:52 And all the guys we talked to about you,
00:55 they just mentioned how confident you are as a rookie.
00:57 How important is that for you coming into this situation,
01:00 wanting to play with that confidence
01:02 and shoot with that confidence consistently?
01:05 I mean, I just take it all the way back to college.
01:07 I mean, I stayed an extra year in college.
01:08 So I could be that guy when I'm on.
01:12 And I'm on, but when I'm off, I'm off.
01:15 I still got to keep my head high.
01:16 So that's one thing I took from college the last year
01:19 I was there.
01:19 So that really prepared me for this moment.
01:22 I'm never going to hang my head on a missed shot.
01:26 It's a long season.
01:28 It's a long game.
01:29 So I just don't let my emotions get into it.
