00:00 I guess you have to ask him the same question we asked him.
00:02 Where were you when that field goal was happening
00:04 and just kind of what was racing through your head
00:06 in that moment?
00:07 I was actually with my position coach praying.
00:10 Like--
00:10 [LAUGHTER]
00:12 No, but seriously, I was with Coach Smith on the sidelines,
00:16 just like--
00:17 I didn't have any doubt.
00:18 I knew that since they aired some back out there,
00:20 like, we had a very big chance of completing the block up
00:24 there.
00:24 And just with the front, we had up front against those guys.
00:27 So I believed in our team and executed them that way.
00:29 [INAUDIBLE]
00:35 And John, is that-- you said-- you just mentioned Zay.
00:38 I mean, is that something he does a lot in practice?
00:40 Is that something that you guys know him for,
00:42 being able to make an impact in the world?
00:43 Yeah, he definitely has an impact on field goal plays,
00:47 especially goal on runs.
00:49 Things like that, that's where he has a tremendous impact,
00:52 as far as I've seen in our games.
00:55 Just that final drive, what was kind of running
00:58 through your head?
00:58 What was Jackson telling you guys as a best-team field?
01:01 You know, as for typical field, I really
01:03 didn't speak to Jackson, but my position coach specifically,
01:05 you know, know the guy in the distance,
01:07 the time that we have on the clock.
01:08 Just go out there and execute.
01:10 This might be the last drive since they were holding the ball
01:12 for so long.
01:13 So just take advantage of the possession that we have.
01:16 And John, you had a three-touchdown performance
01:18 today.
01:18 How do you feel after that?
01:21 Honestly, I'm just glad we got the win overall as a team.
01:24 You know, going into this game, we all know that A&M
01:26 was a great team.
01:27 We had a great front defensive line
01:29 and great defensive players.
01:30 So just coming out with the win overall,
01:32 it's a great feeling.
01:33 Real talk.
01:34 A lot of people foresaw it to be close,
01:37 but did you think that it was going to go down
01:39 to the last two seconds?
01:40 How does that feel?
01:42 It's like I felt really nervous in the last minute of the game.
01:46 But it's a big change.
01:48 Things can happen like this.
01:49 When you have six great players on each team,
01:52 it's only like-- it's almost destined to happen.
01:55 I wasn't surprised by getting in that situation.
01:58 Wayne said that the vibe he got from Jackson
02:00 and the offense was that you guys knew
02:02 that you were going to score.
02:03 In that moment, it was just, did we score too fast?
02:05 What gives you guys confidence in those big moments?
02:09 I think as far as the confidence,
02:11 it comes from preparation.
02:12 It comes from Monday when we first
02:15 come in after a win to Friday during walk-throughs
02:18 right before the game.
02:19 Everything that we do is on time and tempo.
02:22 We practice it to doing it the best that we can.
02:24 So I think the confidence comes in games.
02:27 Like, OK, we know we're going to go slow.
02:28 We're going to go out there and execute.
02:30 But it's maybe one little thing we can tweak
02:32 or one little thing we can work on
02:33 to be better on the next job.
02:35 Obviously, the Texas A&M was really key in the run today.
02:38 Jackson had a huge game throwing the football.
02:40 Can you just talk about what you saw from him today?
02:43 Yeah, up front, they did a great job.
02:46 We all gave him a lot of time in the pocket
02:48 to throw the ball to the receivers.
02:50 I think overall, we had a great performance.
02:53 And we gave him a lot of time.
02:54 So we did good.
02:57 More questions?
02:58 Up top.
03:00 Improving to 8-1, pretty much all of your goals
03:03 are still right there in front of you
03:05 if you all take care of business.
03:06 Just how good does it feel going into the last three
03:08 games of the season knowing everything is still
03:10 out there for you guys?
03:11 It's an amazing feeling, just being 8-1,
03:14 especially this conference.
03:15 It's very hard with the schedule that we have as well.
03:18 So it makes it even harder.
03:20 But just grateful to have this team, these coaches,
03:22 and everyone surrounding me.
03:23 And we know they have a big game this week.
03:25 So we're all just celebrating this game
03:27 and getting ready for next week.
03:28 When you have close game after close game in the SEC,
03:32 and you all come out on top week in and week out,
03:34 how do you do that?
03:35 What's that say about this specific team
03:37 that you're able to win so consistently, even in tight
03:39 games?
03:40 I think it really speaks volumes on how
03:42 we aren't dwelling on what we've done as a team
03:45 and just becoming complacent.
03:47 I think that it shows that we're on to the next team.
03:50 And we want to win it all.
03:52 We're not just here to win a certain amount of games
03:54 or go to a bowl game.
03:55 We're here to win the national championship.
