00:05 This is just one of the many hundreds of spooktacular homes which have been decorated across Kent for Halloween.
00:13 Well, that spider, the size of it is nothing compared to what you are about to see.
00:18 You might remember last year, last Halloween, I came down here.
00:22 There's been a few changes. This wall has been built and the cobwebs are all still here.
00:29 And what is still here is that ginormous spider. It is absolutely humongous.
00:37 Well, children are starting to arrive now for Halloween.
00:40 This house will be open till 10 o'clock this evening. It's in Gillingham.
00:44 And the man behind it is Hagrid, well, also known as Ciarán.
00:48 Ciarán, tell us how many hours of hard work have gone into decorating this house?
00:52 Too many. So, because of the weather, it's taken me all week to get it all set up.
00:57 Whereas normally it takes two days.
00:59 How did you build this giant spider?
01:01 Well, the main body construction is polystyrene.
01:03 The legs is pipe lagging and conduit, lots of ladies tights and lots of wigs.
01:09 And you're raising money for De Melza. Why was that charity so important to you?
01:14 They're a very local charity. They heavily rely on public donations to fund what they're doing.
01:19 And it started out years ago, part of a group that's done fundraising in the past. So, I carry on.
01:26 And I was here last year. Tell us what is new. I can see some smoke machines.
01:30 They were here last year, but this wall is new as well, isn't it?
01:32 The castle's new this year, yes. So, that's Dracula's castle, my son.
01:37 Then all the demons, they're all new. And you can hear in the background the dog.
01:43 I absolutely love the dog. Now, I could hear the dog last year, but I couldn't see it.
01:47 Tell us, what have you done this year?
01:49 He's got a little hole that he always looks out of. People watch his all year round.
01:52 So, initially I decided to dress him as Grandma from Red Riding Hood.
01:57 And how long has this house been open for this week? What have people been telling you?
02:02 It's been open all week and they absolutely love it.
02:05 They now have turned it into their yearly tradition of coming around here to start their Halloween circuit off.
02:13 Is it going to be here again next year?
02:15 Of course it is. I've just got to try and figure out what I'm going to do. How do I top it?
02:19 It's absolutely amazing. And I'll tell you what I've noticed this year.
02:22 So many more houses are decorating their houses in Halloween theme. Have you noticed that as well?
02:26 Yes, there's a lot more houses that have gone big. So, it's fantastic for the local community.
02:31 Well, there you go. This is one of the most amazing houses which have been decorated for Halloween.
