00:00 25 years of Project ALS and it's been such a gift for us to be we were talking about it
00:05 We realized Ben was at the first event and then he and I met that year and I was at the second event and it
00:12 Has become a true family Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor stepping out to support
00:17 Project ALS and making it a family affair
00:21 And I really feel like that so many of the families here who have either been impacted
00:27 Directly or have just been a part of Project ALS from the beginning. It's been kids have shown up
00:33 We've had bowling events. We've had it's been so kid-friendly from the beginning and it's a family organization, you know
00:39 And that's the thing. It's it's very very like I said, it's very personal and I think everybody here has a personal connection in some way
00:45 And you know, it's a devastating disease and when people rally around with something like this happens
00:50 It's it's it's coming from a place of love and connection. So that's what the organization is about
00:57 Research all of the money goes to research and that's the most important
01:01 I the couple is co-hosting the organization's 25th anniversary
01:05 Gala celebration and there's no tougher audience than their 18 year old son
01:11 Quinlan, I don't know. It'll be interesting to see I mean, they'll be getting my feedback. So
01:15 Yes, you are the better host we're a team I know
01:25 Well, we Yin and we gang right? Yeah, I mean, you know, I'm like in my mind
01:29 I grew up stiller and Mira my parents and so
01:32 Taylor and stiller project ALS holds a special place in Ben's heart. He's been involved with the organization for over two decades
01:41 I think the strength of the will of the estes sisters who started the organization when Jennifer got diagnosed back in
01:48 1998 and her doctors told her that there was no hope and there was nothing to do and she didn't want to accept that and
01:54 they got together and called all their friends and said we have to do something and here we are 25 years later and
02:00 We actually have a new medicine that's in clinical trials that ALS project ALS has helped
02:07 Get to this point. So it's an amazing organization. It's family. It's personal, but it's also
02:14 Incredibly effective and has helped so many people so we're happy to be here to celebrate the 25 years
