It will feel more like mid-September rather than late October in the Northeast following a frosty start to the week.

00:00 Let's start this Northeast and Mid-Atlantic forecast with a little look at some playoff
00:04 baseball.
00:06 Game seven for the Diamondbacks and the Phillies.
00:09 This one's gone on for quite a bit.
00:11 And tonight, we decide the winner.
00:13 Taking a look at the first pitch at 8.07 p.m., it's going to be an absolutely beautiful night
00:17 in Philadelphia.
00:18 57 degrees, a cloud or two, and that's really about it.
00:22 And I can tell you the real field temperature of 56 as the game begins.
00:26 Bring a jacket, I would say, well before that seventh inning stretch, you will be bundling
00:30 up as temperatures fall.
00:31 Now, I will say this much, they are going to fall for a short time before rising again
00:36 as we move through the week.
00:37 Satellite and radar showing you clouds starting to break in the Northeast, a little bit of
00:41 moisture moving across the mountains, but even that is diminishing quite a bit.
00:45 And by this afternoon, plenty of sunshine and temperatures well on the increase.
00:51 The overarching view showing you that we are well above average in cities like Pittsburgh
00:55 and Charleston, West Virginia, even in Washington, D.C. and Richmond, the low 70s, where we should
00:59 be in the upper 60s.
01:01 But that deficit gets even larger as we move throughout the week.
01:06 High pressure building that heat in the Northeast, the Mid-Atlantic, and the Ohio Valley.
01:11 And the difference between the historical average highs and the actual highs will get
01:16 up to 15 degrees in some spots.
01:19 In fact, take a look at the numbers as we head through the rest of the week.
01:22 Wow, Washington, D.C. 82 degrees by Friday, 77 on Thursday and Friday in New York, and
01:29 a nice 72 degrees Thursday and Friday in Boston, Massachusetts.
01:32 Enjoy this summer-like warmth, if perhaps fall and flannel is not quite your thing.
01:37 But what about dry weather?
01:38 Look, this is the million-dollar question.
01:41 Are we going to make the seven-weekend stretch in New York of seeing at least one day of
01:45 rain an eight-weekend stretch?
01:48 Well, it's my lucky number, so I certainly hope we don't ruin it with that.
01:51 But I'll say this much.
01:53 At this point, the weekend looks largely warm and pretty darn sunny.
01:58 The Ohio Valley, I do think, could see some rain on Sunday, but I think it's going to
02:03 take a little longer for New York to see that rainfall, at least till the start of the week.
