00:00 I had the idea of a print meet and I'm going to go back to it.
00:19 We're here early really just to get to see behind the scenes, behind the curtain a little bit,
00:23 to see him do his thing without everyone else in the stadium
00:27 and hopefully try and get some sort of interaction with him.
00:29 And have you seen him live before?
00:31 No, we haven't. No.
00:33 No. Once in a lifetime.
00:35 Well, it's not a big queue so far, so you might be in luck, maybe even first or second row.
00:40 How do you feel about that?
00:41 Amazing.
00:42 I'm really looking forward to seeing one of the icons of music.
00:46 And have you seen Paul McCartney live before?
00:48 Yes, once before. I think he was out in 2017.
00:50 Yeah, brilliant. And you're one of the first in line here at Newcastle.
00:54 Can you tell me why you're here almost five hours before Paul comes on stage?
00:59 Well, we're coming here early for the soundcheck.
01:01 We've first to package one of those once in a lifetime opportunities we had
01:04 and came a little bit early to enjoy the moment.
01:07 Third time I've seen Paul McCartney.
01:09 I saw him in 1975 with Wings at the Horton Pavilion.
01:13 Saw him in the early 90s in the Sydney Entertainment Centre, so this will be my third trip.
01:18 I've been a Beatles fan since the age of three
01:20 and I'm really excited about hearing all the songs tonight.
01:24 That's more than 30 years then since you've seen him, so you must be pretty keen to be here.
01:28 Oh yeah, I am very much so.
01:30 To have seen him in the 70s and the 90s and now in the 2020s is a big thrill.
01:36 Do you have any favourite memories from those earlier shows?
01:38 Yeah, in 1975 I was a month off for my 16th birthday
01:42 and it was my first concert and it was just fantastic.
01:46 In the early 1990s I was a teacher and went down to Sydney again to see him.
01:53 That was a great show.
01:55 And again now, so great memories.
01:58 I've got all the albums, all the singles, read all the books, so a huge fan.
02:03 So you know all the songs, you're ready to sing them?
02:05 Oh yeah, I don't know about singing them but because I play in a band too
02:09 I appreciate all the musicality of the songs.
02:12 Yeah, amazing. Do you have a particular favourite?
02:14 It's hard to pick a favourite because there are so many good ones.
02:17 But I think I saw her standing there, very early one, off the first Beatles album,
02:23 right through to the Revolver album, Got To Get You Into My Life which she's doing tonight,
02:29 and right through to Abbey Road.
02:31 So I'm here with Lennon and McCartney who have met for the first time today, is that right?
02:36 Yes.
02:37 Can you tell me what you're excited for about this show?
02:40 I'm excited for all the now music and all the wonderful lights.
02:49 Amazing.
02:50 And my mum said last time there was fireworks, I'm really looking forward to that.
02:56 Amazing.
