00:00 Do you expect to start?
00:02 I'm going to start.
00:04 I'm going to start.

00:34 Miles, where does that performance rank individually compared to other ones you've had in the past?
00:38 I don't know.
00:40 I'm sure it's up there, but who says the next one can't be even better?
00:46 Miles, what was going through your head in terms of knowing that you're starting quarterback and you fought so hard to get back to this game,
00:53 had to be standing over there on the sideline, not being able to do what he wanted to do today.
01:00 Did that give you inspiration to maybe even want to win for him even more or anything?
01:06 We got enough motivation to win.
01:10 He's up there supporting us whether he's on the field or off the field.
01:14 It's a shame that he couldn't be out there doing his thing.
01:19 He's still battling with a bone injury.
01:24 We're going to keep on playing as hard as we can and supporting him however we can.
01:31 Miles, the whole leap on the field, it sounds like they're looking for some kind of volunteer to do that this week.
01:37 You went in there still, can you walk us through that process a little?
01:41 I've actually done it a couple times throughout the years.
01:45 Just to keep our offense, or keep our stuff, it seems, honest, just for fun.
01:50 I think Bubba, when we went to the archives and saw him, he was like, "We've got to bring this out."
01:55 We had a candidate in the coach who allowed us to jump over and come in that way.
02:03 So you must leap over other human beings for fun?
02:06 We do it as kids.
02:09 How hard is it not to touch somebody when you're trying to do that?
02:13 Depends if you're a man or not.
02:18 If I'm you, it's not that hard.
02:20 If you're me, it's another day at the office.
02:23 So you did that in practice, too?
02:28 That was my Friday special team.
02:30 The strip sack in the end zone, did you have a pretty good idea lining up across from a rookie with a tight end
02:35 that you were going to have a shot at getting Domenci in that situation?
02:39 Oh yeah.
02:40 I like my chances.
02:42 It's just like, one, two, three guys, I'm going to just continue to keep on battling.
02:47 As long as he has the ball, I'm going to keep on rushing.
02:50 Those are big moments where you've got to make a play.
02:53 I'm ready to step up.
02:54 We all are on the D line.
02:56 Like we saw, ZD made the one at the end to seal it.
02:59 But I'm thinking, "This is my time. Go get it."
03:03 Miles, the last couple of weeks you guys have won games that previous to this year,
03:10 the team might have found a way to win.
03:13 You found a way to lose them.
03:14 What is it about this specific group that allows them to pull these kind of games off the fire?
03:21 I think there's two things.
03:22 You have a group that's been through those kind of hardships and heartbreaks.
03:27 I don't think our blood pressure elevates in those kind of moments because we've been in them.
03:33 That's about making plays that can win for us.
03:38 We've got some guys from multiple different teams who have come up and built plays.
03:43 I think that the mesh of both of those groups of men has made it where when we get in those situations,
03:50 we have the guys who are going to provide leadership and the playmaking ability for us to go out there and make those plays.
03:56 Can you talk about PJ's last drive and how he showed so much moxie on his final drive to go down there and get the game win?
04:04 Never in doubt with PJ.
04:06 Cool as it comes, he goes out there and does his job.
04:11 Never too high or too low, but he just loves the game.
04:13 He's a good playmate.
04:14 There's no shadow of a doubt with him.
04:15 I respect him.
04:16 I've been in the line before.
04:17 Miles, when the other team is inside their own five, it feels like you guys believe you're going to score.
04:22 Is that right?
04:23 Yeah.
04:24 Backed up equals points.
04:25 It's not just two.
04:28 We're trying to get a touchdown.
04:30 That's what we're aiming for every single time we line up.
04:33 We're trying to tell them off the road.
04:35 Miles, you guys have been so dominant defensively from a yardage perspective.
04:41 What did they do well today to open up the field with you?
04:46 They ran the hell out of the ball.
04:51 They were finding gaps where we didn't think they were.
04:57 It was a full-back yell series.
04:59 18 minutes into the daylight, and they were finding it.
05:02 We didn't even expect it to be.
05:07 We settled into playing the run, had some big plays through the air.
05:14 We had some off sides, had some penalties.
05:16 I think they've got to look at them moving the ball and those snap counts.
05:23 We have to handle it on our own issues.
05:25 If it's not snap, we can't go.
05:27 It's a little bit of give and take.
05:29 But them two dynamic rushers in the backfield,
05:32 Minstry came to play, he was taking his own--he was calling his own number,
05:36 making plays himself on the ground.
05:39 It was a little bit unexpected how much he was involved into the run,
05:43 especially in the red zone.
05:45 But with them just keeping us all balanced, that was the main thing for us.
05:48 We had to set a win.
05:51 They really had a counter for us for most of the game until the end.
05:57 How about your kicker?
05:59 How much are you enjoying watching him stand up there and move,
06:03 say 50 plus over and over again?
06:07 That never gets old for me.
06:09 It's been a while since we've had someone that consistent around.
06:14 He's been an immaculate up to this point.
06:18 He's been great for us, and he's come up big.
06:23 He's stayed with me at AFC, so I'm going to say I love him.
06:27 How happy are you for Kareem, his journey back here,
06:29 and that he gets to score that touchdown for you guys?
06:34 Mad special to show that when he was with us the first time around,
06:39 to show that on the Chiefs.
06:42 He's just catching his stride, coming back to who we know he is.
06:46 For him to make that big play, that's just a huge confidence boost for him
06:51 and for his team knowing that he's going to be able to make those plays
06:54 without a stretch.
06:56 He's got it in him.
06:57 That was 60 minutes.
06:59 What do you say happened on those two off sides?
07:01 They did something?
07:03 There was a little bit of ball movement.
07:05 I think that was one of the main things on that.
07:08 I think the second or last drive before they false started,
07:12 trying to get us two offsides, but snap his head open,
07:16 move the ball a little bit.
07:18 They were very indicative.
07:19 There were a couple that were on us, but there were a couple where
07:22 he was moving that a little bit.
07:25 Regardless, we have to respect that the reps can't see it
07:29 or they're not calling it.
07:31 We have to be on our feet and cues and get up on the ball
07:33 regardless if they're moving a little bit or not.
07:36 What about just the belief over there on the sidelines
07:39 that you guys were just going to get the next play and the next play
07:42 and it didn't matter what they did, that you guys were just going to keep coming back?
07:45 What did that feel like over there?
07:48 We're relentless.
07:50 As a team, as a defense, as individuals, nothing's going to hold us down
07:55 or hold us back.
07:56 We're ready for everything at the moment.
07:58 The knock-off is always going to be good.
08:01 We're going to bounce back whether we've got an inch to defend
08:04 or we've got the whole field.
08:05 We're going to fight the entire 60 minutes.
08:09 Good?
08:10 Thanks, boss.
