00:00 If the food is spicy and tasty, then the fun of fasting doubles.
00:06 Isn't it?
00:07 That's why today we are going to make Farali Pattice for fasting.
00:10 I am Chef Nikky Meethaiwala and welcome to Swaad Anusaar.
00:14 For the pattice, first we will prepare the outer layer.
00:20 For this, I have taken 3 boiled potatoes which I have mashed.
00:25 1/2 cup Rajgira flour
00:27 2 tsp oil
00:29 and as per taste, rock salt.
00:31 Now we will mix all the ingredients very well.
00:34 Our outer layer is ready.
00:39 Here we will make the stuffing.
00:42 For this, I have taken 1/2 grated coconut.
00:44 To remove the rawness of the coconut, we will dry roast it for 1 minute.
00:51 Here we have to be careful that we do not roast the coconut for more than 1 minute.
00:57 Otherwise, oil can be released from it.
00:59 Now we will take it out in a bowl.
01:03 And let it cool for some time.
01:07 For binding, we will use 1/4 cup roasted peanut powder.
01:13 1/4 cup chopped coriander
01:15 1 tsp green chilli paste
01:17 1 tbsp chopped cashew nuts
01:19 1 tbsp raisins
01:21 1 tbsp dry mango powder
01:23 1 tsp garam masala
01:25 2 tbsp lemon juice
01:27 1 tbsp sugar
01:29 rock salt as per taste
01:31 and lastly 3 tsp boiled potatoes.
01:35 Now we will mix all the ingredients very well.
01:39 Now we will make small balls of the mixture.
01:46 [Music]
01:55 All our balls are ready.
01:57 Now we will make patties.
01:59 To make patties, first we will grease our hands with oil.
02:03 Now we will take a small portion of the mixture and flatten it on our palms.
02:12 Now we will put the stuffing balls in the mixture and cover the entire ball.
02:17 Similarly, we will make all the patties.
02:33 [Music]
02:43 Here we have to keep one thing in mind that we do not have to fry the patties in very hot oil.
02:50 Otherwise, the patties will turn red and will remain raw from inside.
02:55 That is why we have to fry it on medium flame.
02:57 [Music]
03:22 Our Farali patties are ready.
03:25 We will serve it with green chutney and lemon.
03:28 You also try this delicious recipe and tell us in the comment box how did you like it.
