00:00 This is George Preston for Liverpool World reporting in the aftermath of Sean Dyches' press conference ahead of the Merseyside derby this weekend against Liverpool.
00:07 Starting off with T.E. News, he had no new concerns after the international break, which is good news for Everton, but the only long-term absentees now include Andre Gomes and Dele Alli.
00:15 He also revealed that Seamus Coleman is back training with the group and had his first session back today, but he will take some time to recover and get back to full fitness before he can be involved in the matchday squad again, so he won't be available this weekend.
00:26 Liverpool have plenty of injuries to contend with, the likes of Thiago, Connor Bradley and Stefan Persetic are all ruled out of the game, as is left-back Andy Robertson who suffered a shoulder issue whilst on international duty with Scotland and he'll be a big miss for Jurgen Klopp this weekend.
00:41 Curtis Jones is also suspended as he will be still serving his three-match ban from the red card against Tottenham before the international break, and there are doubts over the attacking duo of Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunes as well.
00:51 Dyche spoke on his first Merseyside derby experience, which came last season at Anfield in a 2-0 defeat. On that particular occasion, Everton had a very different side to the one they have now. Ellis Sims was the one who started up front last time and struggled against Liverpool's backline and this time he'll have a fully fit and fully in-form Dominic Harvett-Lewin, which will give confidence for Dyche going into this one.
01:10 Dyche also spoke about the third-half of Liverpool and called them a very good outfit and a top side and he says he wants to change the record and that record is a very poor one. Everton have only won just twice at Anfield since 1999 and the size of the task is very big but they go there with confidence after winning three of their last four games.
01:26 Dyche spoke about the buzz of having those wins in recent times, especially the 3-0 win over Bournemouth in which Everton were brilliant at Goodison Park and showed an attacking display that fans have been crying out for since the start of the season.
01:38 I spoke to Sean Dyche and asked him about his previous interactions with Jurgen Klopp. He and Jurgen Klopp famously went at it during Burnley's 1-0 win over Liverpool back in the 2020/21 season when they ended Liverpool's long, unbeaten run at Anfield.
01:50 He claimed there was just respect between the two and he has no problems with Jurgen Klopp or any other manager in the Premier League but it's going to be a different case on the such line if anything kicks off at the weekend.
02:00 Everton will go into this one with confidence and the fact that Liverpool are missing quite a few key players will give them a little bit of a boost and it will be interesting to see how this motorcycle derby plays out between two sides who have gone at it since 1894.
