00:00 Jack, three turnovers inside the 25 tonight.
00:03 What was happening on those plays for you?
00:06 - Fumble, it was a screen, I got to dirt that ball.
00:12 Didn't see the guy coming.
00:14 Two picks were unfortunate.
00:18 One, you know, we're on a slant, guy gets bumped.
00:22 I mean, I'm not gonna comment on him,
00:25 but he did get bumped.
00:26 And then, all of a sudden, the receiver hand
00:30 ends up right in our lap,
00:31 so there's two unfortunate plays there.
00:33 We gotta take care of them all.
00:36 - What was the difference between the first half
00:42 and the second half of just executing,
00:44 getting points on the board there?
00:46 - Just shooting, like, little things,
00:47 shooting ourself in the foot, not, you know,
00:50 not doing everything that we're supposed to do.
00:52 The margin for error is this big in this league,
00:56 and we didn't do the small things right in the second half.
01:00 - Jack, how much did not having Jaws out there
01:03 kind of impact the way that Pitt was lining up,
01:05 expecting to have Jordan in the backfield?
01:08 - I don't think it really affected their defense.
01:11 They kind of just played what they had to turn off on.
01:14 - Jamari, it felt like Pitt was pretty physical out there.
01:19 I mean, what can you say about what they were doing
01:21 with you guys just throughout the game?
01:24 - All I can really say is we got to do better
01:26 in the receiving quarter.
01:28 You know, when Bob comes through,
01:29 we gotta make the play when Bob comes through.
01:31 I don't know what the 90-day-to-death thought.
01:33 I feel like we shot ourselves in the foot.
01:35 - Were you surprised that you guys went for that
01:38 fourth and one in the first possession
01:40 inside your own 35-yard line?
01:42 - It was fourth and inches.
01:43 We gotta go get an inch, so no, I'm not surprised.
01:45 We wanted to go out and score, come out at halftime,
01:49 make a statement, and we're gonna get right there.
01:52 - How affected were you guys by Renato's injury
01:56 kind of early in warmups?
01:58 - We got guys that can play on the line.
02:01 Obviously, we love to have Renato out there.
02:03 He's a great guy for our team.
02:05 But next guy's gotta step up.
02:08 And Austin has played a lot of football,
02:10 and he came in, for the most part, protection was fine.
02:13 We're opening up holes.
02:15 We just gotta be able to do it consistently
02:18 and convert and finish strong.
02:22 - Coach Brown mentioned coming into the week
02:24 being concerned that you guys, after beating Notre Dame,
02:27 might not be able to reach the same level
02:29 of focus or intensity.
02:31 Do you think that was at all a factor?
02:33 - I mean, we probably hung on that one too long,
02:38 and we can't do that.
02:38 And when we reach it, it's one game season every time,
02:42 and we can't, just 'cause we beat a team
02:46 doesn't mean that you're gonna beat Notre Dame.
02:49 And we gotta approach every game like it's our last game
02:51 or whatever, but take one or two more.
02:54 - Was there any frustration during the second half
02:56 when things just didn't seem to go your way?
02:58 - Yeah, I mean, obviously, we weren't yelling
03:03 or screaming at each other or nothing,
03:04 but it's just kinda like, come on, we gotta get this going.
03:08 There was never any fights on the sideline
03:13 or people yelling or screaming.
03:15 We just, we were in the game for a long time,
03:18 and we just needed to put some points on the board
03:21 for that fourth quarter defense,
03:22 and just go up and do a couple three outs,
03:24 and what we just couldn't do as an offense.
03:26 - Last one, anybody?
03:28 - Just ask Jamar, on the slab plate,
03:30 did you get pushed off your right?
03:32 - No, I won at line, and then when I was going at side,
03:35 I had a bump, and so that was a good time to set it.
03:39 - Okay.
