Fear Island is back for Halloween at Fantasy Island in Skegness - with a host of new mazes and attractions. Lincolnshire World went along to find out if we should be afraid...

00:22 Gary, you've been involved in the Sheets Fear Island.
00:26 Tell me all about it.
00:28 - Well, yeah, it's very exciting.
00:29 We've been asked to come and take over Fear Island
00:32 this year in order to build it with new concepts,
00:35 new scare attractions, something for the family,
00:39 something a bit more adult, you know,
00:41 something for everyone effectively.
00:43 So we've got lots of new attractions.
00:45 We have the nice monorail ride through,
00:48 which is Toucan Tours, Temple of Bloom.
00:52 We've also got Ghostly Tales in the Crypt,
00:54 which is slightly more for the older children and families.
00:57 And then of course we go into the more scary attractions.
01:02 So we've got Psycho Mansion, which is back,
01:04 which is very exciting.
01:06 We've been working on that for the last few months.
01:08 And of course, Ravenous,
01:10 which is a cannibalistic family in the woods.
01:14 And of course, Outpost, which is a zombie apocalypse.
01:17 So there's loads going on.
01:18 There's also Circus of Screams is back,
01:20 which is very exciting.
01:21 And we've also got a pirate show as well,
01:24 Dead Men Tell No Tales.
01:25 So absolutely loads going on here at Fancy Island.
01:28 - Should I be scared?
01:30 - Yes, be afraid, very afraid.

01:34 - So how many years has Fear Island been running now?
01:37 - Well, this year will be the seventh year.
01:39 And this new year is gonna be completely different,
01:43 really crazy, lots of different scares,
01:45 brand new mazes, we're really excited.
01:47 - And the mansion's back, isn't it?
01:50 I can remember that from the first year.
01:52 - Yeah, 100%.
01:53 - A whole new side of it, a bit of a rebound,
01:56 new actors, again, a new set and everything.
01:59 It's going to be absolutely insane.
02:01 - Now, we are inside the Psycho Mansion.
02:05 (screaming)
02:07 - I've caught up with the Mayor of Skegness
02:13 outside Psycho Mansion.
02:16 Councillor Barry, how are you holding up?
02:19 - I'm holding up quite well, actually,
02:21 but the weather's been not holding up for us
02:24 because of the framing, but it's a fantastic evening tonight,
02:27 especially outside the Psycho Mansion,
02:30 as we've said before.
02:32 And it is a bit scary and different things,
02:34 and there's more things in store for me for tonight.
02:37 So I'm looking forward to that.
