00:03 And you've got to get that taste out of your mouth as a team, but
00:05 then also you've got to get it out of your fan base.
00:07 Because if they can win this game, Notre Dame goes in the bye week with some much
00:12 needed momentum.
00:14 I would think that Marcus Freeman is gonna give them a couple extra days off.
00:17 I don't really give a rip about practicing the first few days,
00:19 get these guys back on track, get them healthy, get them fresh.
00:22 And then get back at it because if you can come out of the bye and beat Pitt,
00:26 now all of a sudden you go into the Clemson game, back in the top 15,
00:30 feeling good about yourselves again.
00:33 And even though the season won't end the way that we had hoped and
00:36 thought that it could, you run out, you go 10 and 2, you're in a New Year's 6 game,
00:41 you're borderline top 10, you get yourself a big name opponent in a New Year's 6 game.
00:46 And all of a sudden Notre Dame's got the momentum back, right?
00:48 That's what this game does.
00:51 And that's why it's a big moment.
00:53 And then on top of it, of course, of being your rival.
00:55 And this is the weirdest, this is a USC team that three weeks,
01:00 both of these teams the last three weeks have just completely changed my opinion of
01:04 who I thought that they were.
01:05 I'd said to you, I don't know if I said it in the show, Ryan, but
01:08 I said to you, honestly, through the first four weeks,
01:11 when USC was in my top five of our first three weeks,
01:15 well, four, cuz they played in week zero as well.
01:17 But through the, no, they played, yeah, they played in week zero,
01:20 then they had a bye in week three.
01:22 But through the first four weeks of the season,
01:23 I'm like, USC is one of the best teams I've seen in college football this year.
01:26 I mean, they're scoring a ton of points and their defense is stopping people.
01:29 I mean, you felt good and then the Arizona State game happens.
01:33 You're like, yeah, it was an off game, but they'll be fine.
01:35 And then they jumped early on at Colorado and you're like, okay, yeah,
01:37 they're good, they're pretty good.
01:39 And then Colorado has that comeback.
01:40 And then they come out and they fall behind, what was it, like 17-0 Arizona on
01:43 Saturday with their backup quarterback.
01:45 And if Jane Deloria plays that game, I don't know that USC wins that game,
01:49 to be honest with you, even with Caleb Williams.
01:52 So they're both just coming in here with just this really weird, like, yeah,
01:57 they're good teams, they're both ranked, but
01:59 no one's excited really about either team right now.
02:01 USC keeps, they keep winning and falling in the rankings.
02:05 >> I know. >> Every week,
02:05 they're down to 10th this week.
02:08 >> Yeah. >> Because you watch them play and
02:09 you're like, you play anybody else in the top 25 the way you played that game,
02:13 you're- >> You probably lose.
02:14 >> You're getting beat.
02:15 You're getting beat, and that's where it comes from.
02:17 So it's very.
