00:00 Ole Miss's Jackson Dart named SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
00:03 Hello, my name is Skylar Girard of Fan Nation The Grove Report and here's your latest football news.
00:08 Now, Jackson Dart capitalized on a legacy game and led his team to a victory of 55-49 against
00:13 arch rivals LSU Tigers. Quarterback Jackson Dart was named the SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week
00:18 after an outstanding performance against LSU last Saturday. The SEC-West rivalry matchup was an
00:24 offensive shootout and appeared to take the crown as the most exciting SEC game of the season,
00:29 which resulted in students rushing the field post-game. Jackson Dart took advantage of the
00:33 offensive efforts, leading Ole Miss to a 55-point performance. Dart was exceptional, passing for 389
00:39 yards and rushing for an additional 50 and finished with a season-high five total touchdowns.
00:44 A pathway mark of the fourth quarter, the Rebels were trailing 49-40, but Dart went to the next
00:49 level to help his team and step to the plate for his legacy game. Dart led the offense on a 10-play
00:54 drive that ended with him running in a touchdown from the one-yard line, putting Ole Miss behind by
00:59 just two points with five minutes and six seconds remaining. "I was ready for it," said Dart. "The
01:04 only thing that I could think of was when I was running on the field was, 'This is your legacy
01:08 game. How do you want your legacy to be here?' I wanted that moment. I wanted to take full advantage
01:12 of it," Dart said. On Ole Miss' final drive of the game, Dart had a connection with Trey Harris
01:18 and took advantage of it again. Dart found Harris on a play action pass for a 24-yard gain, putting
01:24 the Rebels in an amazing field position with 39 seconds left in the game. He hit Harris again on
01:28 the check down pass to the right side and Harris went for it, darting between LSU defenders to run
01:33 it in for a 13-yard touchdown, which clinched the victory and bought Hemingway Stadium. This game
01:38 kept Ole Miss in the conversation for SEC West title, and Dart has now left an impact in Oxford,
01:44 Mississippi from this game.
