00:00 Around four years ago, I was just getting into the beer industry and saw the huge surge
00:05 of the CBD industry.
00:07 We actually had a CBD rep come into our rugby club at the time, talking about CBD and its
00:13 benefits to both health and the body.
00:16 I was just fixated on the topic and really wanted to get involved in CBD and love beer.
00:24 Beer's always been my passion, so I just merged the two together and really started as a bedroom,
00:29 business, and have been working our way up since.
00:33 Opening day is Friday, so we are officially open from two o'clock, but we expect people
00:37 to start coming from five o'clock.
00:39 From five o'clock, get yourself down, and it's going to be a hell of a weekend.
00:44 Expect lots of beers, amazing wines.
00:47 We've got a wine sommelier that came down, and a local group of wine lovers came to help
00:52 us choose the wines.
00:54 Local gins, local spirits.
00:57 We're showing the rugby on the Saturday, all the home nations are playing in the World
01:00 Cup, and then live music from local musicians.
01:03 We've got Steve Wren on the Friday night, who's incredible.
01:07 We've got Molly Warburton on the Sunday, who's going to be playing her new song, Gold.
01:12 Everyone check it out.
01:13 Then also Molly's dad is going to be singing on the Saturday for us, too.
01:17 Cannabrew is different because we're a CBD-infused brewery, so all of our products have CBD infused
01:23 in it.
01:25 It's aimed at everyone.
01:27 I was really shocked to learn about our audience, because we have the older generation drinking
01:33 a lot of our products for the body side of what CBD can do, the anti-inflammatory effects.
01:38 Then we have a really vast majority of uni students and the younger adults, working professionals,
01:45 drinking our products for the more mental side of what CBD can help take the edge off.
01:50 We were looking for a venue to host the brewery, locally, obviously.
01:54 I'm born and bred Lancastrian.
01:57 I love it around here, so I wanted to keep it around here.
02:01 We were looking at an old bank in Morecambe, but unfortunately we got our bid.
02:04 Then the estate agent told me about this place, so we came down, saw it, just fell in love
02:09 with the building.
02:10 It's a 200-year-old silk mill.
02:12 I think it's the oldest silk mill in the country, or was the oldest.
02:14 It's obviously a brewery now.
02:16 It's really cool.
02:18 As you can see, we've got all the features still on show, like the old walls, the original
02:22 walls, the beams, the floors.
02:24 It's just a beautiful building.
02:26 We're really pleased to be in here.
