00:00 These are the tasks carried out as part of the anti-flood protection for the Odra and Wisła rivers,
00:06 which is co-financed with the World Bank, the Council of Europe,
00:13 the European Union funds as part of the operating programs "Infrastructure and Environment",
00:18 the state budget and the funds of the Polish Water Authority.
00:21 In general, the value of all these four tanks will be about 1 billion PLN.
00:28 We are talking about active anti-flood protection.
00:31 However, the whole task also includes the water part,
00:35 which is also a sectional work on the most important rivers of the Kłodzka land,
00:43 starting from the Kłodzka Nysa, through Biała Lądecka, through Bystrzyce Dusznicka, through Morawie, Kamienny Potok.
00:52 These are the rivers that we will run and are already running.
00:58 Such actions are irritating, safe, they are typical of the places that are the most urbanized,
01:06 so where the potential damage would be generally the greatest.
01:10 This tank will be able to hold about 2 million cubic meters of water,
01:16 or exactly 1,900,000 cubic meters. However, all tanks, when they are put into operation,
01:25 will be able to retain 16 million cubic meters of water,
01:29 which is very important for this region, for the Kłodzka land, from the point of view of anti-flood protection.
01:36 Taking into account, of course, all these very unpleasant experiences of floods that have existed so far,
01:43 these tanks will minimize the flood wave.
01:48 Of course, it is impossible to completely eliminate this threat,
01:52 but these actions aim to minimize this threat.
01:56 In addition, it is worth saying that, in addition to the fact that these tanks were made in the latest technology,
02:03 including as few harmful effects on the environment, even such very environmental actions,
02:12 a lot of natural compensations have been made here,
02:17 including the fact that we planted almost 8,000 spruce and larch trees,
02:22 we planted plants, such as shrubs, also about 8,500,
02:28 we built breeding booths for birds, boxes for bats,
02:33 and in general, we have been doing this work under very strict environmental supervision.
02:42 In general, 85% of the tank's tank cover in Krosnowice,
02:48 in general, is not affected by the actions of this investment.
02:53 We tried to limit this interference to a minimum.
02:57 It is worth saying that the moment we put all these tanks into operation,
03:03 at this point, the ability to minimize flood threats in Kłodzka Valley will greatly increase.
03:10 And of course, this is a very important step.
03:14 This is, I would say, a milestone step.
03:17 However, this is certainly not the last task we want to accomplish in this area to minimize the threats.
03:27 And of course, I would also like to reassure all residents of the Kłodzka Valley that nothing about them, without them.
03:34 That is, all our actions that we will want to take in the future in this area,
03:42 in the area of increasing flood protection, will always be consulted with the residents of the Kłodzka Valley.
03:50 So the goal is really to reduce the flood wave, but the original plan was to build over 20 such tanks.
03:57 How many such tanks should be built according to Mr. President to make it safer?
04:03 Ladies and gentlemen, this concept that Mr. Editor is talking about, unfortunately, requires an update at this point.
04:12 It requires an update that also includes the impact on flood protection of these tanks, which already exist today.
04:21 These works that we are doing on the rivers here in the Kłodzka Valley,
04:27 and at the same time also taking into account certain challenges, climate change, rapid weather phenomena.
04:36 We are always looking for solutions that will interfere to the smallest extent, both in the natural environment, but also in local communities.
04:45 And that is why, in this regard, we will certainly want to update this plan of flood protection in the Kłodzka Valley,
04:52 in strict compliance with this plan with the residents.
04:56 At the moment, we thank you for what you have done so far and we are happy about this project.
05:00 Flood protection in the Kłodzka Valley, as part of which four tanks will be built.
05:06 Today, a third of four tanks will be put to use, but I am happy about the announcements of Mr. President of the Polish Water Authority
05:14 that there will be more projects of flood protection, i.e. water supply in the Kłodzka Valley,
05:20 especially water supply in the Korsunowice River.
05:23 The water tank in Bobuszów, in Rostock, is practically on the Kłodzka Valley and the water tank here on the Danube.
05:29 I hope that in some way it will protect the Krosnowice River.
05:33 In general, they are supposed to protect the Kłodzka River, but in some way they will also protect the Krosnowice River
05:39 and there will be no more floods every year, every two years, which we had in place,
05:44 and flooding of about 30 buildings in the Krosnowice River.
05:50 I also hope that, as I mentioned today, that the Polish Water Authority,
05:56 by investing in flood protection in cities, e.g. in Kłodzka,
06:02 will also proceed to flood protection in the Krosnowice River in the next years.
