Apple’s iPhone 15 event marks the end of the lightning cable

The iPhone 15 will come in pink, yellow, green, blue, and black – and has a starting price of $799.

00:17 Markets are looking ahead to key data on inflation out Wednesday.

00:20 The Consumer Price Index measures how much prices have risen or declined over the past

00:26 Markets widely expect inflation to have risen by 0.6% in August compared to the 0.2% increase

00:33 seen in July.

00:34 The Federal Reserve typically watches this figure closely when it determines its next

00:39 interest rate decision.

00:40 As of now, traders see a 93% chance that the central bank will hold rates steady in September

00:46 and a 42% chance they raise again in November.

00:50 Meanwhile, all eyes are on Apple after the company revealed the newest versions of the

00:55 iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.

01:01 The biggest change from previous designs is the new phones will be the first to use a

01:05 USB-C port rather than Apple's own Lightning connector.

01:09 The switch is in order to comply with the European Union's new band-aid that all phones

01:14 use a common charger by the end of 2024.
