Kitten Survives Falling From 50FT FLAT

Credit: SWNS / PDSA  A curious kitten has made a miraculous recovery after surviving a 50ft fall - from a fourth storey flat.  Oreo the one-year-old cat spent one of her nine lives when she escaped her owner's window.  She plummeted 50ft to the ground where she lay overnight.  The curious kitty broke both of her front legs and fractured two bones in her front right paw in the incident.  She also sustained severe bruising to her chest, mouth, and jaw.

00:03 We were trying to find Ori out because Ori usually

00:08 greets everybody when they get up.

00:10 We couldn't find her anywhere.

00:11 And we looked down for the balcony.

00:13 She was actually down on the floor in the corner crouched

00:16 out where she fell from the window.

00:18 I panicked when I went to the garden to get her.

00:20 She was frightened.

00:22 She had cuts on her nose, her mouth.

00:24 I took her to the private vets.

00:26 She needs some medicine and stuff,

00:28 which was all going to cost 1,200, which it just broke me.

00:33 We didn't have the money to do it.

00:35 So then I was scared that I was going to lose her.

00:38 They also introduced me to the PDSA.

00:41 I wouldn't be able to afford Ori's treatment,

00:44 but the PDSA, they explained things to me properly.

00:47 They showed me her x-rays and stuff

00:49 and showed me what they're going to actually do.

00:56 Now I know that they're the PDSA.

00:59 I think it's time that people knew that they were there.
