00:00 Thank you, it's Alistair from the Sheffield Star. We're out here today asking people about the concrete issue that's been in the news lately.
00:06 It's aerated concrete that's kind of not... it's proving to be crumbly, it's proving to be susceptible to failure essentially.
00:13 We're asking people what their opinions are as far as the government's response has been. What do you make of that?
00:18 I think the government knew about it and I think they just... well, they just buy it in their time, but it's going to cause some real problems.
00:27 If they don't do something about it, buildings are going to get collapsed. It's as simple as that.
00:34 How long do you think they've known about it?
00:36 Oh, they'll have known about it when buildings were being built.
00:41 We were talking before this, you were comparing it to previous materials the same way, where it was used while it was risky, but they knew that, and kind of pushed the book down the way.
00:51 What were you saying some more about that?
00:54 It's the same old question, profits before people.
00:59 The more money you've got, the more power you've got, and that's basically the thing with society.
01:09 What do you think the scale of dealing with this will be by the end of it, or how much will they have to put in to make sure this issue is solved?
01:17 Like I say, it's only what I've heard on the news about this concrete.
01:23 But I can't see it, if it's crumbling, I can't see how they're going to repair it.
01:29 So to me, building is... well, it's had it, basically.
