00:00 And the basic premise of it is that the his initial World Cup showing kind of
00:05 proves that the Jazz made the right call dealing him away.
00:09 Do you still feel that way?
00:12 And if so, like maybe talk a little bit about your thoughts on that subject of
00:16 the Jazz maybe getting out of the go bear business at the right time.
00:21 >> Yeah, I mean, even if I mean, you look at the who the players netted,
00:25 in that deal so far, I mean, Keontae George comes from that deal.
00:29 He's from that draft pick that comes from that deal.
00:33 And then you got Kessler, and
00:35 then you still got Horton Tucker that was a net result from that deal.
00:40 So from that standpoint, absolutely, but
00:43 then when you also look at what the money that Minnesota has to pay go bear.
00:49 He has three more years on that deal, all years is gonna be over 40 million.
00:54 I think the last year is a player option for 46 billion.
00:58 So yeah, I mean, it's death for the Timberwolves.
01:01 I mean, not only do they lose their assets, but
01:04 their salary cap, obviously takes a hit.
01:08 The one thing that as far as getting high draft picks with their picks,
01:11 they do have Anthony Edwards signed one of the best players in the world,
01:16 through the life of our picks.
01:18 So that is one thing where I think,
01:20 I'm not sure if Minnesota is ever gonna bottom out with Edwards on that team.
01:25 But it's not looking good for that GM, that was just a horrible, horrible trade.
01:29 >> Yeah, again, there's the emotion of it, right?
01:34 Like a pivotal legendary, very meaningful figure in jazz history, Rudy Gobert.
01:40 Being dealt away, of course, it kind of stings in the moment.
01:45 But now being a year removed and
01:47 seeing some of the fruits of the trade on both sides.
01:51 It's pretty, pretty clear that the jazz got out of that business on Gobert,
01:56 at literally the perfect time.
