00:00 So anyway, why Ole Miss will win the game.
00:03 Ole Miss will win the game
00:04 because they are significantly better team.
00:07 That's not exactly something, not speaking out of school,
00:11 but we're going to do these why Ole Miss will win episodes,
00:14 even no matter who they're playing.
00:17 When Ole Miss goes to Georgia,
00:18 we are going to do this episode.
00:20 And there's going to be people online freaking out,
00:22 thinking I'm making a prediction
00:24 and trying to throw this back in my face,
00:26 is if that matters.
00:27 It's going to be quite funny.
00:29 The Friday episodes, the why Ole Miss will win episodes,
00:33 usually do really well for when you account Friday episodes.
00:38 So, let's look at this real quick,
00:41 get into the numbers of it.
00:43 Ole Miss plays at 2 o'clock Eastern,
00:45 1 o'clock Central on Saturday on ESPN Plus
00:49 and SEC Network Plus.
00:52 You can see down in the FBI matchup predictor.
00:56 Ole Miss has a 99% chance of winning.
00:58 That means, just so everybody knows,
01:02 if they played this game simulated 100 times,
01:05 99 of them will be won by Ole Miss,
01:07 and then one will be won by Mercer.
01:10 That's what this means, probability-wise.
01:13 And, obviously, it's an SES program.
01:19 Obviously, it's not somebody
01:21 that is exactly what you would like to see.
01:24 I much preferred last year opening with Troy
01:27 and then going to Central Arkansas in week two
01:31 than opening with an FCS opponent.
01:33 There's a scrimmage element of this.
01:36 There's a mindset problem element
01:39 that could come into play
01:40 that could cause them to look sloppy
01:42 whenever they come out the gates.
01:44 I like coming out and have somebody
01:45 that can at least get you at the very beginning.
01:48 That's going to increase your urgency in fall camp.
01:51 It's going to make you practice better.
01:53 It's going to up the anticipation for game week.
01:56 This week, while the Mercer Bears, they're good.
02:00 They were ranked in the FCS preseason poll at, like, 22.
02:04 Last year, they were scoring, like, 50 points a game,
02:08 got beaten double overtime in their finality
02:10 at Sanford, like, 57 to 55 or something like that.
02:16 They could make plays.
02:17 They're going to make plays.
02:19 I just don't think they can make enough of them.
02:21 And that's not an insult towards Mercer.
02:27 Lane Kiffin, I think I saw a stat yesterday on Twitter
02:30 that since 2000, Ole Miss is averaging 511 yards per game.
02:34 That's second to Ohio State nationally, offensively.
02:39 That's multiple quarterbacks.
02:40 That's a four-year sample size, basically, at this point.
02:45 Is our three-year sample size.
02:47 And I don't know if an offense that explosive,
02:52 if Mercer will be able to keep up as explosive as they are
02:56 or can be.
02:57 They did not look good against North Alabama,
02:58 but you have to a little bit look back
03:01 to what they did last year, as well.
03:04 It'll be interesting to see exactly what they do.
