Longbow Bars and Restaurants Ltd, owned by Rob Hattersley, 39, from Bakewell, will reopen The Ashford Arms in Ashford-in-the-Water in early 2024 following an extensive £1.6m refurbishment of the 17th century pub.
The Ashford Arms didn’t survive the pandemic and has remained closed for the last three years

00:04 You might know us from the Maynarder Hotel in Grindleford and the George in Havisidge.
00:09 I'm currently sat outside the Ashford Arms, Ashford in the Water, just outside Bakewell.
00:14 This is our third project and we're so so excited about it. Working with Heineken we're going to be
00:21 doing a £1.5 million refurbishment over the ground floor area and the nine letting bedrooms here.
00:29 What we're going to do is we're going to bring the heritage of the history of this 18th century
00:33 building with a contemporary edge enjoyed by locals, tourists and everyone else. We're going
00:39 to be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner using our local suppliers for both food and drink and
00:45 employing 45 local people. We can't wait to give you some more updates about this.
