00:00 I was home Saturday morning and started seeing the updates
00:03 and I immediately thought of you
00:05 because you've carried on Bob's tradition
00:08 of spaying and neutering your pets.
00:10 And I mean, there's so much connection
00:12 that I already see with you.
00:14 What are your thoughts when you think back on his legacy?
00:17 - Man, what a career.
00:18 I just taped some wraparounds for a tribute show
00:21 that we put together for him.
00:22 You know, the director came over to my house Sunday night.
00:25 I watched all the footage.
00:26 And it was, honestly, it was tough to get through.
00:28 He was, you know, just like the ultimate pro game show hosts.
00:33 This guy will never be replaced or equal.
00:37 It's kind of crazy how good he was
00:40 and how smooth he was, like forever.
00:41 He was on 18 years on Truth or Consequences.
00:44 The last three years were his first three years here
00:47 on The Price is Right.
00:47 So he did both at the same time for a little bit.
00:50 Everything he did for animal rights, you know,
00:53 PETA, Mercy for Animals and places like that.
00:56 I mean, he really did walk the walk.
00:58 The Price is Right was a vegan show.
01:00 For most of the years he was on,
01:01 we didn't give away any meat products, leather goods.
01:05 Every time we showed like an outdoor grill,
01:08 we'd just have vegetables on it, plastic vegetables.
01:11 Yeah.
01:12 Yeah, he was really serious about all of it.
01:15 You know what?
01:16 He had a good life.
01:17 And, you know, he left behind our great legacy.
01:20 So I'm happy for him that he got to do that.
01:24 But it's sad that we have to recognize
01:28 that everybody passes eventually.
01:30 You know, I think that gets to us more than anybody.
01:33 I remember one quote I heard about him,
01:36 if this makes you feel any better,
01:37 one quote I heard about him from,
01:39 he had a lot of friends, you know,
01:40 on the set when he retired and people kept in touch with him.
01:44 And the quote I got from somebody that knew him well
01:46 was that he said he was so relaxed
01:48 he could carry me around in a bucket.
01:50 So just know that he was just happily retired
01:54 and happy to just chill and not be on TV every day.
01:58 And was so relaxed,
01:59 he could carry me around in a bucket that way.
