00:00 Ex Ole Miss football player and now Dallas Cowboys player gets arrested on drug and weapon charges.

00:10 Now former Ole Miss Rebels defensive end Sam Williams is now once again in trouble with the law
00:15 after reportedly being arrested on Sunday night on possession of controlled substance as well as weapon charges in Frisco, Texas.
00:22 Now according to Star-Telegram Williams was arrested by Frisco Police for possession of marijuana
00:28 which is a low-level state felony and the unlawful carrying of a weapon which is a misdemeanor.
00:34 In his rookie season late in the 2022 season Williams missed a game after he was injured in a car crash.
00:39 Now the story was told in many different ways by him but was cited for reckless driving which was in connection with the crash and
00:46 during that time there was a warrant out for his arrest.
00:48 Now the Cowboys picked Williams in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft even though there were character concerns
00:55 which made other teams take him off their draft boards.
00:58 Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced the team had done enough homework on Williams behavioral history to feel it has been thoroughly investigated.
01:05 This arrest will mean an investigation by the NFL which at his discretion can lead to suspension of Williams.
