00:29 But now, they are able to eat three meals a day.
00:32 Father Jolito earns only P250 per day from his garbage collection.
00:37 He is able to afford this for 10 members of his family.
00:41 It's good for the project that our President did for us because of the budget.
00:46 For all the things that happened to us, to our poor people,
00:54 the President did a great help and DSWD did a great help.
01:01 Alma is not a problem anymore.
01:05 She can eat her children's daily food.
01:07 The food stamp is a big thing for our family.
01:11 The food stamp, of course, is for my children.
01:16 They can eat what they want because of the food stamp.
01:20 Again, 50 beneficiaries of the program from Tondo, Manila, gathered.
01:25 They are among the 3,000 beneficiaries of the pilot run of the program
01:30 from Cagayan Valley, NCR, Bicol, Caraga and BARMM.
01:36 Our first distribution was successful last month.
01:40 Our kickoff here in Tondo and this is the continuation of that.
01:44 The same 50 beneficiaries were covered by our pilot implementation.
01:49 Now, you can see that our nutrition education program is included,
01:54 which is a crucial component of the food stamp program
01:58 because we will teach them how to cook delicious, cheap and nutritious food.
02:03 Bitbit, the electronic benefits transfer or ABC card
02:07 that can be used to buy nutritious food,
02:10 the beneficiaries immediately gathered to avoid scams or fraud.
02:15 The owner of the card is also asking for a fingerprint.
02:18 Two people can register for a fingerprint.
02:21 In the food stamp credit, the budget for three types of food is divided.
02:26 One thousand five hundred pesos is for rice, corn and bread.
02:32 Nine hundred pesos is for meat such as fish, chicken and pork.
02:37 Six hundred pesos is for vegetables and fruits.
02:40 The monthly assistance from the food stamp program for its pilot implementation will last for six months.
02:47 The DSWD will have an assessment after this.
02:52 We're expecting a scale up of our pilot implementation by October.
02:58 That's already three thousand.
03:00 Three thousand for all of our pilot sites will be implemented.
03:04 But end of this month, we are actually setting another kickoff in Caragan,
03:11 here in Siargao.
03:13 We will have a kickoff there, another set of 50 beneficiaries.
