00:00 So I'll open it up for questions.
00:01 >> I guess kind of talk us through how you ended up playing running back this fall.
00:08 >> I'll first off say I was actually a receiver and
00:12 I've been making pretty good plays in the spring.
00:16 And we came to our spring end of evaluations and sat down with my coaches and
00:20 they felt like it was the right move to help us in the office and help us win.
00:23 So I was right along with it.
00:24 >> I know you've played some running back in high school.
00:30 What has been the biggest adjustment for you at this level to play running back and
00:35 what Coach Falkner is looking for?
00:37 >> Well, obviously, the speed of the game in college gets faster and
00:40 then certain pass protections and running schemes.
00:43 You have to know that from the college standpoint.
00:46 For high school, it's a little bit slower.
00:49 You can do a little bit what you wanna do.
00:50 College, you have to be more faster, more technique has to be in details is a big
00:55 part of it, so details at running back is really what separates you.
00:58 So for Coach Falkner, I would say.
01:01 >> Next, Jackson.
01:02 >> What's been the toughest?
01:06 Has there been anything that's been really tough transitioning to running back or
01:10 has it just been all pretty smooth for you so far?
01:12 >> Honestly, I have a great group of peers in our running back room that accepted me
01:15 with open arms.
01:16 So any questions, anything I mess up with or anything I need,
01:21 they've been very well helping me.
01:22 So I feel like it was an easy transition.
01:24 I feel like it was an easy transition.
01:28 >> To make that change, you have to feel confident in your abilities to make an
01:31 impact this year.
01:32 Is that the case?
01:33 >> Yes, sir.
01:34 >> How do you think you're gonna make that impact?
01:35 What kind of strengths do you bring to that room, do you think?
01:38 >> Honestly, wherever Coach puts me is where I'm fully ready to go.
01:41 Fully ready to go.
01:41 I'm ready to help the team in any way, shape, form, fashion.
01:44 [BLANK_AUDIO]
01:48 >> Obviously, you guys have been known to be electric with the ball in your hands.
01:52 And now you're getting an opportunity to do it in some different ways.
01:55 Is that kind of the one thing that's maybe the most exciting about playing
01:58 some running back is that there's so many different ways to get you to fall.
02:01 Cuz I know we talked to Buster, he said, watching you guys,
02:04 on jet sweeps and things like that.
02:06 I think that was part of what their thought process was.
02:09 Just I guess how exciting is that idea to have the ball in your hands and
02:12 be able to make moves?
02:14 >> It's very exciting.
02:16 I'm very a crowd type person.
02:18 So I like when the crowd gets into the games, I know that they feed off energy.
02:22 That running backs or even big time athletes, when they make moves in games,
02:25 I know they feed off that.
02:26 And I feed off it personally.
02:28 So I feel like it's a great opportunity for myself and
02:31 a great opportunity for our team.
02:32 [BLANK_AUDIO]
02:35 >> You got chat?
02:36 All right, let's go chat while it's still going.
02:37 >> [LAUGH] >> A bit off topic,
02:40 Roddy White came and spoke to you guys, right?
02:42 What was sort of his message?
02:44 What did he talk to you guys about?
02:45 >> So his message to the team, I'm actually pick one of the things he said.
02:50 He said it's not about you.
02:51 He said it's not about you.
02:52 It's been different situations where it's been about the team and
02:55 put the team first.
02:56 And that's when your self-accolades will actually start rising and
02:58 start coming into life.
03:00 So that's one of the big topics I took away from it.
03:03 >> Wayne, there's been a lot of talk about your move to the back.
03:09 And when I talked to some of the fans first thing,
03:11 I asked, well, will it be able to run between tackles?
03:15 What do you tell those people?
03:16 >> Tell those people I might be small, but I ain't afraid.
03:19 >> [LAUGH] >> I might be small, but I'm not afraid.
03:21 Running between tackles is nothing.
03:23 I've been doing it all my life.
03:25 I feel like it's really the same, not the same as a receiver, but
03:29 you have to be a little bit more built.
03:30 You have to put on some weight.
03:31 You have to put on some muscle.
03:32 You have to be able to take hits and prepare for it.
03:34 I'm ready.
03:36 >> Look at the holes.
03:37 >> Absolutely, great vision.
03:38 Great vision.
03:40 >> Anything else for Juwan?
03:43 >> Collin.
03:45 >> Just curious if you did anything physically to change your body to take
03:49 the beating of playing runner back.
03:51 Does it put weight on or do anything differently in terms of your training?
03:54 >> It was definitely started off with putting weight on.
03:57 Big shout out to our string staff.
03:59 Big shout out to Coach AJ, Coach Tyler.
04:01 They've really been guiding me in putting on weight and putting on some more muscles
04:04 so I can be able to take those and withstand those hits inside the game.
04:08 >> How much did you gain?
04:09 >> 185.
04:12 >> Anything else?
