00:06 Brian's family confirmed the sad news in a statement to ET,

00:14 revealing he died after a three-year battle with ALS on August 5th.

00:18 Brian chose early to keep his journey with ALS private,

00:21 and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request.

00:25 The family goes on to ask for privacy while they take time to grieve

00:29 and come to terms with saying goodbye.

00:32 You know, right now, and don't know how long that'll be,

00:35 I need to be in the place that makes me happiest.

00:38 Last year, Sandra opened up to ET about taking a step back from acting

00:42 to spend more time with Brian and loved ones.

00:45 I just want to be 24/7 with my babies and my family. That's it.

00:49 And we don't know how long or how short, but that's where I want to be for a while.

00:53 Sandra and Brian met in 2015 when he photographed her son, Louis, birthday.

00:58 According to reports, they started dating a few months later,

01:01 and in 2021, the actress addressed why the pair wasn't in any rush to get married.

01:11 We shared two beautiful children, three children, his older daughter.
