00:00 Yesterday was Chris Buescher day in the state of Virginia.
00:03 Congratulations, Chris Buescher.
00:04 Those guys deserve the win.
00:06 They were the fastest car once we got to the midway point.
00:10 So that's a tip of the hat to RFK Racing.
00:12 And along with that, you have to give a tip of the hat
00:15 to Brad Keselowski.
00:17 What an incredible job he has done
00:18 since becoming part owner over there
00:20 of leading that team and pointing them in a direction.
00:23 My takeaway from the race yesterday, not very exciting,
00:26 not very exciting at all.
00:28 When we talk about Pocono, Pocono
00:30 was-- I was on the edge of my seat.
00:31 At Richmond yesterday, take it or leave it.
00:34 Richmond used to be the excitement track.
00:36 This car, or for whatever reason,
00:38 the caliber of teams that we have now,
00:40 and everybody running the same speed, it's just a blah day.
00:44 There was no excitement to it.
00:45 NASCAR is working on that.
00:47 They're at the racetrack right now
00:48 as we speak on a Monday and on a Tuesday,
00:50 working on a new configuration for the short track.
00:53 But the big takeaway for me was the Fords.
00:56 The Fords that have been non-existent this year
00:58 showed up.
00:59 Four Stuart Haas racing teams in the top 11,
01:02 two RFK teams in the top six.
01:05 Go enjoy Logano.
01:06 You got six Fords in the top 10, which was a phenomenal day.
01:10 I'm not a big strategy guy.
01:12 I know races are won by strategy,
01:13 but I like to see it just raw speed, driver ability,
01:17 go out there, get it done.
01:18 Yesterday was strategy.
01:19 We had Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex
01:21 on a one-stop strategy, other guys on a two-stop strategy.
01:25 The way the race played out, it put everybody back in line
01:28 there at the end of the race with that caution.
01:30 And that threw a lot of that strategy out the window.
01:32 But Chris Buescher was in position to win.
01:34 Denny Hamlin, right back in the mix.
01:36 Denny's big moment of the day came
01:38 when Kyle Larson kind of tapped him, knocked him out of the way,
01:40 and said, see you next week, boys.
01:42 But in the end, it was all Ford, all Chris Buescher.
01:46 12 different teams have won and move into the playoffs.
01:50 That's a big, big thing for NASCAR.
