00:00 Let's go to the other transfer real quick in this first segment.
00:03 And that is Marquise Willis, who is the brother of Malik Willis, by the way,
00:08 the backup quarterback of the Titans.
00:11 Might be third string quarterback, but backup quarterback as well.
00:15 We'll just say that.
00:16 We are talking about somebody that's a pretty good football player.
00:22 But Ole Miss Rebels land commitment from freaky GCO receiver Marquise Willis.
00:28 He's a big body receiver, he's 6'3", 220,
00:31 reportedly ran a sub for four at the Ole Miss camp over the weekend.
00:36 He played high school football in Roswell, Georgia.
00:38 And he's coming off of his first season at Coahoma, where he hauled in 20 catches
00:42 for 281 yards, four touchdowns, averaging 14.1 yards per set reception.
00:48 So why would somebody that is freaky have a profile
00:52 that kind of looks like this, not many ratings, right?
00:57 Well, here's the problem.
00:59 To me, Juco Recruiting, the same number of dudes that were in Juco Recruiting,
01:04 are in Juco Recruiting now.
01:06 But now, thanks to the transfer portal, they've slid down in the order of
01:11 importance for people to look at.
01:13 The understaffed recruiting services, and they are understaffed.
01:17 Do not hear that they're not.
01:20 Even at a place like on three where it's very important,
01:22 they are understaffed at doing this.
01:24 And they handle high school recruiting, and they go all out in high school
01:27 recruiting.
01:28 They do the best they can at portal recruiting,
01:32 which that used to be Juco Recruiting.
01:35 And Juco Recruiting is kind of overlooked at this moment.
01:38 Now, when you have a guy like Lane Kiffin, who is going to find talent wherever
01:44 you can get him-- remember, he got up two players out of Canada in 2020.
01:49 So he is going to find players that can play no matter what he does.
01:52 And these are people that all the coaches laid eyes on.
01:56 So Marquise Willis, 6'2", this one says 180.
01:59 The other one says 220.
02:01 I don't know.
02:02 But whenever you look at these recruiting services,
02:04 the info is going to be notoriously wrong.
02:07 Now, if you look at the highlights of Malik Willis,
02:10 this is something that is pretty important to see.
02:14 You see somebody that's just a good player,
02:16 and you see something in the quarterback that's generally just not very good.
02:22 No insult to the quarterback, but this is like a worst case scenario Juco
02:26 quarterback.
02:27 I think Marquise Willis actually played a game at quarterback last season.
02:33 So that's going to account for his numbers,
02:35 and that's going to account for stuff like that.
02:37 So what they're doing is looking at this player
02:39 through the lens of a combine star.
02:42 This is somebody with a high 40 numbers, long hands, good body control.
02:48 His highlights flash just enough to where
02:50 you can see if he's put on the field with somebody that is a really good player,
02:55 he'd have a chance to really shine.
02:58 4'3" at 220 pounds is nothing to sneeze at.
