00:00 Hello guys, welcome to another episode of Forever Green.
00:04 Grab a bucket of popcorn and choose your favorite seat for today as we are going to show you
00:09 12 times when humans encountered animals that asked for help, even though they can't communicate
00:15 by word of mouth.
00:16 Credit to these humans as they were able to interpret and immediately offer the needed
00:20 help to these animals.
00:24 12.
00:27 Whale Shark In the March of 2003, Joe and his friends
00:31 were fishing near Sydney, Australia, when a whale shark approached their boat.
00:36 The shark, as seen in the footage, hangs around probably waiting to be noticed.
00:44 On close examination, Joe saw the desperate fish had a rope tightly lashed around its
00:49 body.
00:53 This was making it difficult for the shark to swim, since the movement of the dorsal
00:57 fins was limited.
00:58 Joe, together with the help of his friends, tried to cut the rope, and to their amusement,
01:05 the shark patiently stayed afloat without any sign of attacking or swimming away.
01:10 After what seemed like a decade, they managed to cut loose the rope, and the whale shark
01:17 swam away as peacefully as it had arrived.
01:21 What would you have done if the whale shark had approached you?
01:28 Let us know in the comments section below.

01:33 Elephant Truly, the largest mammal on the planet is
01:37 a fascinating creature, who is also very intelligent, an elephant.
01:44 Unfortunately, elephants are listed as vulnerable to becoming endangered species because of
01:48 being the favorites of poachers for their ivory.
01:58 Veterinary doctors in Zimbabwe were utterly shocked when a huge African elephant walked
02:03 up to them asking for help.
02:05 At first, the doctors who were out in the wild on a patrol were uncertain if it was
02:09 just the usual of an elephant being territorial, but on a closer look, they noticed a bullet
02:14 wound on its head.
02:15 They immediately knew that they had to act fast as the bullet hole had become infected,
02:19 and the gentle giant seemed to be in excruciating pain.
02:23 To avoid causing more trauma on moving the elephant, the vets had him sedated and then
02:27 examined his skull out there in the wild.
02:30 An X-ray of the skull revealed that the poacher's bullet was only a few centimeters from it
02:34 being a kill shot.
02:35 Out in the wild, the doctors managed to successfully remove the bullet.
02:39 The elephant, now named Pretty Boy, got a chance to live longer.
02:43 What's fascinating is how the elephant was able to tell that the vets were the good guys
02:47 and entrusted them with his life.
02:48 I mean, how did Pretty Boy tell they were not poachers?
02:52 What do you think?
02:53 Let us know in the comment section below.
02:55 Fortunately, it is said that an elephant never forgets.
02:58 Good if the poacher never crosses its path again.
03:02 In this next video, a mother elephant in Thailand is captured crying for help in the cover of
03:06 darkness.
03:07 The mother elephant is stuck on an electric fence and unknown to the rescuers, her baby
03:12 is also stuck in a ditch.
03:16 The mother elephant, as seen, gets stunned by the current passing through the fence and
03:21 rescuers rush to turn off the power.
03:23 On getting up, the mother elephant then leads the rescuers to her trapped baby.
03:27 As if to understand, the mother elephant gives the rescuers a humble space and time to rescue
03:32 her baby as she watches from a distance.
03:35 Finally, the baby is pulled out of the ditch and they both rush to each other in joy.
03:43 The mother elephant and her baby then disappear into the night.
03:47 How satisfying.
03:49 10.
03:51 King Cobra What would you do if a snake approached you?
03:56 Not just any snake, but a 10+ foot long cobra.
04:00 I mean I would take off, if not stumping on its head.
04:04 Well, in India, snakes are fond of asking for help.
04:08 As we all know, summer can be a tough time for everyone, so why should snakes be any
04:13 different?
04:14 In this footage, a 12 foot cobra is rescued from an Indian village where it had slithered
04:19 into.
04:21 Since it was during the dry season, the cobra was looking for a drink to cool itself.
04:25 The rescue workers are recorded feeding the cobra water from a bottle.
04:29 What a tender moment to see.
04:31 After quenching its thirst, the rescue workers then take the cobra to a sanctuary.
04:35 Honestly, this is adorable yet terrifying at the same time.
04:39 Or what do you think?
04:41 What would you have done if a snake approached you without aggression?
04:44 Let us know in the comment section below.

04:49 Fox Cub In June 2013, this video of a young fox with
04:54 its head stuck in a glass jar was uploaded on YouTube.
04:57 Even though we don't know the exact location, judging from the language used in the video,
05:06 this was taken somewhere in Russia.
05:08 Unable to free its head, this young fox walks up to these men who happily free its head
05:12 from the jar.
05:16 On being freed, the fox trots away.
05:19 As it runs, one of the Russian men is heard asking, "Hey, what's our thank you?"
05:27 The young fox, as if it has understood the question, stops, looks back at the men as
05:32 if giving a nod of gratitude, and then trots into the forest.
05:36 How courteous of the fox.
05:38 Do you show appreciation when help is offered to you?
05:42 In this other footage, a mother fox is filmed while asking for help in Israel.
05:47 The fox approaches this lady and leads her to where her four newborn pups are nestled.
05:51 When fox pups are born, both the mother and father share the care as the pup care is a
05:56 family business.
05:57 Unfortunately, this mother pup could not trace the father and was probably overwhelmed with
06:02 caring for the pups alone.
06:04 The kind lady then steps in as a surrogate father and feeds the mother fox as well as
06:08 her pups.
06:09 This fox goes against all odds and entrusts the kind lady to provide for them.
06:14 Truly a mother's love is indisputable.

06:18 Bottlenose Dolphin
06:21 On the 11th of January 2013, a group of photographers diving deep in the waters of Kaluakanoa, Hawaii
06:27 met with one of the magnificent creatures of the deep seas, a bottlenose dolphin.
06:32 The dolphin swam close to them while circling them until one of the divers saw what was
06:36 disturbing the dolphin.
06:38 The dolphin was entangled with discarded fishing gear.
06:41 A fishing hook and line were deep into one of the dorsal fins, limiting its movement.
06:46 One of the divers signals to the dolphin to move closer, and it surprisingly obeys and
06:50 moves close to the diver as seen in the footage.
06:53 The diver then cuts the fishing line and discards the hook using a pair of scissors freeing
06:57 the dolphin.
06:58 The relieved dolphin is then seen swimming away, happily of course.
07:03 Before we move on, here's a quick challenge for you.

07:20 Sea Turtle A diver deep into the sea near the sea bottom
07:25 is filming his view of the coral reef when he notices a sea turtle approaching him.
07:30 As the sea turtle gets closer, the diver notices that it has something, probably a rock, stuck
07:34 on its back.
07:36 The diver then goes ahead and pulls it out.
07:41 The sea turtle then turns and looks at the diver as if to say, "thank you mate" and
07:44 then swims away.
07:46 What's fascinating is not only had the sea turtle realized it had something stuck on
07:50 its back, but also had the turtle figured that the diver could take it off.
07:55 And the diver would be smart enough to understand the kind of help he was asking for.
07:59 How intelligent, right?
08:03 In this other video, a sea turtle is caught in a fishing net.
08:06 He then swims towards boaters who quickly cut him loose.
08:09 The boaters then release the turtle back into the sea and he happily swims away disappearing
08:14 into the dark depths of the sea.
08:16 Aww.
08:17 6.
08:18 Chimpanzee.
08:19 While visiting a zoo, visitors were mesmerized as a smart chimp points at a drink in one
08:26 of the shopping bags.
08:27 A lady takes out a bottle of soda and the chimp quickly leads her to the dropping point,
08:32 only that it's a small hole in the glass window.
08:37 She then pours the chimp the drink who is seen sipping happily.
08:41 At one point, the chimp is also seen pointing at a banana and signals to the lady to throw
08:46 it over to her.
08:48 Unfortunately, the chimp is in a completely enclosed and sealed setting and thus the only
08:55 thing he will get to enjoy today is the drink.
09:00 Just how smart is it of the chimp to ask for a banana and a drink and also lead the lady
09:05 to the small opening?
09:07 In this other video, a zoo visitor is seen helping out an orangutan.
09:12 The orangutan asks for a banana, peels it, eats it and then throws back the banana peels
09:17 at the visitor.
09:18 I bet the orangutan knows more of keeping his place clean than most of you, isn't it?
09:24 A smart orangutan that one, don't you think?
09:28 5.
09:30 Dog.
09:32 In the streets of India, a mother dog is captioned wailing for her puppy.
09:39 The puppy had been hit by a car and was in excruciating pain making it impossible for
09:43 it to walk.
09:45 Rescue workers were trying to calm the mother down as well as offer immediate help to the
09:48 puppy.
09:50 As the rescue worker tries to lift up the puppy, the puppy is heard crying in pain and
09:57 the mother joins him in crying too.
09:59 The rescuers rush the puppy to the operating room.
10:02 On close examination, the puppy had two deep puncture wounds on his shoulders explaining
10:06 why he couldn't walk.
10:08 After a few weeks of rest, medicine, food, care and love, the puppy is able to walk again.
10:14 What a happy reunion with his mother!
10:16 Today, the puppy named Tago can hop and play about thanks to the rescue workers and her
10:20 mom.
10:21 Clearly the mother wanted to help but couldn't do it alone.
10:23 Oh yes, I know your eyes are watery, how touching.
10:28 4.
10:29 Fawn.
10:31 In North California, a little fawn was bleeding close to Amber's residence and when he noticed
10:36 that he had gotten her attention, he quickly ran towards her.
10:39 The fawn snuggled between her feet and even licked her ankles.
10:43 Poor little deer must have been hungry and just a few days old because he could barely
10:46 stand on his feet.
10:51 Normally out in the wild, mother deer leave their little fawns as they go in search of
10:55 food and water.
10:56 This little fawn must have been left somewhere near Amber's house.
11:00 Amber left the little deer and hoped that he would reunite with his mother.
11:04 After a few hours, Amber couldn't find her and so she thought that this little guy was
11:08 back in his mother's company.
11:09 Amber went on with her day's work and when it came to bedtime, she couldn't sleep as
11:13 she kept worrying about the little deer.
11:16 They went out to search for him and luckily they found him asleep on a rock.
11:19 They took him in and rehydrated him with milk, threw a glove and even named him Scott.
11:30 The next morning, Scott seemed pretty excited to have gotten the help he needed.
11:34 Turner's Deer Camp Fawn Rescue reached out to Amber and took Scott under their care and
11:39 raised him alongside other little deers and once he is ready, he will be released into
11:43 the wild.
11:45 Another little deer wandered its way in search of her mother when she, unfortunately, landed
11:49 in a pool of water.
11:51 She was able to cross to the other side and someone managed to pull her out of the water.
11:55 Wet and hungry, the little deer was left in a dry place a few steps away from where she
11:59 had been found to give her mother enough time to locate her.
12:02 A few hours later, she went back to people and from her bleeding, you could tell that
12:06 she needed help.
12:07 She was taken in by the Woodlands Wildlife Sanctuary and given the care she needed.
12:12 She even got a stuffed giraffe that would keep her warm and kill the loneliness.
12:16 A few days later, she was joined by another orphaned fawn.
12:20 The two grew fond of each other and within no time, they were joined by four other fawns.
12:25 They all seemed to be healthy and when they got older and ready, they were ready to go
12:29 let out into the wild where they belong.
12:31 Days later, they could be seen happily jumping around.
12:35 Awwww.
12:36 3.
12:38 Sea Lion While out in the Californian Sea, a group
12:41 of boaters were approached by a sea lion.
12:44 The sea lion, as seen in the footage, hops onto the boat ladder and one of the boaters
12:48 helps him on board.
12:49 The boaters at first thought that the sea lion just wanted a ride but on close examination,
12:54 they notice that he is injured and in desperate need for help.
12:57 The sea lion has a wound on his mouth which appears to have been inflicted by fishing
13:01 gear.
13:02 The boaters immediately inform the harbor patrol who respond quickly and deliver help
13:06 to the injured sea lion.
13:08 Another reminder that animals are definitely smart enough to ask humans for help.
13:12 Has any animal ever asked you for help?
13:14 What did you do?
13:15 Let us know in the comment section below.
13:18 2.
13:19 Tiger As much as it is hard to believe, tigers do
13:24 ask humans for help.
13:25 A village in Russia woke up to a shock after they found a tigress peacefully sleeping on
13:30 the veranda of one of the homes.
13:31 They had previously encountered tigers but not in this manner.
13:35 They were surprised and scared at the same time.
13:38 They quickly got in touch with the necessary rescue body who then sedated the tigress to
13:42 ease her relocation.
13:43 She was in bad shape.
13:45 After careful examination at the rehabilitation center, it was discovered that the tigress
13:49 had damaged teeth and gums.
13:51 As a result, she was unable to feed herself for several days and had become very weak.
13:56 The tigress got the medication she needed and she could also feed on soft minced meat.
14:01 Her condition is stable and she will be forever grateful that she landed on a good person's
14:06 home.
14:07 3.
14:08 Still in Russia, a tiger went to seek help in a man's home.
14:11 His instincts led him there and funny enough, this man was a paramedic.
14:15 The doctor had heard some noise in the middle of the night but it quickly subsided and he
14:19 thought it was nothing to worry about.
14:21 When he got up to go to work, he could not leave the house because his door had refused
14:24 to open.
14:25 He resulted to going out through the window and figured out why the door won't open.
14:29 On his way to the door, he could see large paw prints on the saw and he immediately knew
14:34 that he was in for a rude shock.
14:36 He came face to face with the tiger.
14:38 He had no time to get back in the house so he resulted in standing there.
14:42 I know some of you would have dropped dead but this man just stood there and the tiger
14:46 walked slowly towards him.
14:48 The paramedic then realized that the tiger had a steel wire around his neck, the kind
14:52 that is used by poachers.
14:54 Some of it had gone into his skin.
14:56 The paramedic treated the tiger and for the next two weeks, the tiger recovered in the
15:00 paramedic's shed.
15:02 He was fed by the locals and the paramedic ensured that his health was intact.
15:06 What's even more surprising is that the tiger showed no sign of aggression.
15:10 After the two weeks were over, the tiger disappeared.
15:13 A few days later, the paramedic had trouble opening his door.
15:16 He could see a tiger's paw prints but this time around, there was a dead deer on his
15:20 door.
15:21 The paramedic believed that this was the tiger's way of saying thank you.
15:24 Don't you?
15:25 Let us know in the comment section below.
15:29 It is now time for the honorable mention of our subscriber pick of the day.
15:33 Today's photo was sent to us by a subscriber wondering if there is any possibility for
15:37 an animal as shy as a squirrel to even approach humans for help.
15:42 If you come across a peculiar photo online, send it over to us, we will look into it.
15:46 Who knows, it might feature in our next video.
15:49 Now we looked into this photo and we are excited to reveal to you that indeed, when in extreme
15:55 times all sorts of wild animals will come to humans for help, no matter how shy or dangerous
16:00 they are.
16:01 There's a squirrel out there who really needed some help.
16:04 And this brings us to our number one.
16:08 Squirrel.
16:10 What does it feel when you're thirsty?
16:12 Dry mouth, hoarse voice, dry throat, name them all.
16:16 And how good does it feel when you finally quench your thirst?
16:19 Well in this footage, a squirrel is seen asking for water from a kid.
16:30 The kid then goes ahead and opens the bottle and feeds the squirrel which is seen taking
16:34 in big gulps until the bottle runs empty.
16:39 The squirrel then hops away in satisfaction.
16:42 Must have been one thirsty squirrel.
16:45 And that's it for the 12 animals that asked for help.
16:48 Which of these animals overwhelmed your heart?
16:50 Have you helped any animal today?
16:52 Let us know in the comments below.
16:53 Get out there and spread the love through helping.
16:56 Sometimes we are their last resort so do not shy away in case they come to you for help.
