00:00 Friday, many of us are looking to get away,
00:02 maybe possibly getting an early start on the weekend.
00:05 And if you are, there's going to be a few travel setbacks.
00:08 Not too many problems in the Northwest,
00:09 just a few minor delays around Helena.
00:11 We'll also find some of those spotty thunderstorms
00:13 in through Colorado and New Mexico.
00:15 Lots of heat still in Las Vegas and Phoenix,
00:17 despite some extra clouds.
00:19 Thankfully though, no travel delays there.
00:21 Meanwhile, the Midwest, we've got some of the showers
00:23 and thunderstorms creating minor delays.
00:25 So a few problems.
00:26 I think more problems though,
00:27 as you get closer to the Great Lakes,
00:29 that's where the story will become a bit more severe.
00:32 In the South, it's all about the heat.
00:33 Dallas, 101 for that high.
00:35 No travel delays here or in places like Nashville,
00:38 which will be around 100.
00:40 Meanwhile, through Florida,
00:41 look out, some heavy rainfall at times.
00:43 Miami, we know how quickly the rain comes down
00:46 and that creates significant delays with flooding.
00:48 So be mindful of that.
00:50 Major delays possible from Chicago to Detroit.
00:52 That's where some of the severe weather
00:53 will be active throughout your Friday.
00:55 So you want to watch out for those thunderstorms.
00:57 They even work their way into Buffalo.
00:59 A few minor delays expected there.
01:01 And as you get into some of the I-95 corridor,
01:04 a few minor delays, places like Baltimore and Washington, DC
01:07 as the heat continues on the I-95 corridor.
01:10 As we go through time, the weekend,
01:12 that's when the thunderstorms get into the Northeast.
01:15 So Saturday, we're looking at travel delays
01:17 to exceed average more than 200 or so,
01:20 with 500 for the start of the weekend.
01:23 - Well, that's not good news.
